Sanyukta exited her father's ward. she still had tears making their ways out from her eyes. Having never seen her father so weak and fragile she couldn't digest the fact that he looked this much pale.
She rolled her eyes all around the corridor but couldn't find HIM.
" uncle Randhir kaha hai?" Shr asked composing herself.
" beta wo Doctor ke cabin me hai." Harsh said and she nodded.
After few minutes he came outside the cabin towards her.
He hugged her in order to console her. Not knowing she actually felt safe in his embrace.
" kya kaha doc...doctor ne?" She asked fearing she would let it all go anytime.
" agar zyada der hojati toh we would have lost him. And abhi he isn't in a great condition as the blockage was a major one. ". He finished patting her head.
" i need to talk to you alone. " she said
" lets go to cafeteria and talk " he said making their ways there.
" nahi waha maa hai vahaa nahi" she spoke and took him in an empty corridor.
" what happened Sanyukta? " he asked concerned.
" Randhir dad wants us to get engaged before we go." She finally spoke.
" Whatt!! No ways. You must kidding right?" He asked bewildered.
He couldn't even think of living with her more than these 15 days. This was what he thought. He already had someone in his life whom he loved still he lived with her just to escape a particular situation.
Or was he fooling himself. He was talking about that girlfriend who didn't bother to contact him after he left. Just left a voice mail that she will be busy on a company tour. Thats it.
" Please understand my situation Randhir. I can't oppose him or give him stress. Bass ek favour. Randhir please sirf engagement karlo. Ek baar papa theek ho gye toh hum sabko sabkuch bata denge. " she said to him with moist eyes.
" dekho I don't know anything. I have a girlfriend for gods sake. I can't cheat. Koi or dhundh lo and i am going to tell everyone about us right now. Meri life ka sawaal hai. Tumhara kya hai. Aaj ni toh kal kisi se toh shadi karogi hi. " he said.
She caught his shirts neck and jerked him.
" then why were you bloody showing your fake concern few minutes ago haan? Itne din me bhi nahi jaana tumne mujhe. I am not desperate to marry you or anyone else. Moreover this is just an engagement dammit. What if Harsh uncle would have been there? Would you do the same thing? Keep yourself in my place for once. ". She said her tone softening at the end going to a mere whisper.
" i..I don't know" he said and turned around only to witness a shocked Anju looking at them with wide open eyes.
She was looking for sanyu in the corridor so she came to check upon and noticed her daughter there yelling. She glared Sanyukta and walked towards Randhir.
Folding her hands she said " Randhir beta iske papa ki ye ek baat maan lo. Abhi hum unhe kuch nahi bata sakte. Ek baar wo theek ho jaye i promise me khud sabko bata dungi sab kuch."
" pls aunty hath mat jodiye. Ye sab mere liye bahut sudden hai toh i reacted. I am ready but only for an engagement. Or haan i and Sanyukta were never in a relationship. Let her settle first and get her married afterwards. Varna iss baar me tha...har koi accha nahi hota. " he said and walked away.
" mujhe tumse ye unmed nahi thi sanyu". Anju told her rudely. " parso hogi engagement...tumhare papa ko 2 ghante hi yahaa se leave mili hai toh go for shopping. Wo nahi chahte tumhari engagement me unki health ki wajah se koi kami rahe toh select an engagement planner on urgent basis and leave rest of the things on Arjun ( secretary). He will manage. ". Anju completed and left from there.
" Am sorry papa" sanyu mumbled and dashed out from the hospital to clear her mind from the things going on.
