"Too scared to be alone,
Too scared to open up."
--Unknown

I closed my eyes in fear. I heard a small giggle come from Brandon's lips.
My hands found the back of the bandana as I tried to get it off my eyes. Two hands stopped me and placed my hands at my side. The person moved me to get me in a standing position.
"I will remove the blindfold if you don't freak out. Okay?" A deep voice whispered into my ear.
I nodded my head frantically and the person slowly untied the bandana from my eyes.
"Peek-a-boo!" Brandon squealed at me. I didn't say anything back because I noticed that a woman was holding him. She looked around my age as she hugged Brandon.
"Summer it's okay." The deep voice called. "Just stay calm. We aren't here to hurt you. Brandon knows that." I turned to see Jayden.
I jumped up in fright and tried to run away. I took the bandana off of my mouth and ran out the the secret place. I ran down the street and past the McDonalds I went in earlier. I turned back to see Jayden chasing me with something in his hands.
I turned a corner and almost ran into another person. I yelled a sorry and kept on running. As I turned the corner to go down the next street, my foot caught on something and I fell forward and landed on my face.
I struggled to get up again when Jayden picked me up bridal style. He carried me back to the street we just ran down and headed the opposite direction.
It started to rain and I yelped in surprise as cold droplets fell onto me. Jayden looked down at me but kept on going the way that he was going.
I looked ahead to see a huge mansion standing a few streets away. I gaped in surprise. I tried squirming out of Jayden's grasp once I realized that it was his place. He just held on tighter.
By the time we got to the second street, only five streets away from his house, I was soaked and shivering. He looked down at me in shock at how damp I was and paused in his tracks. He put me down and lead me to the front of a store.
He pushed me in and trailed after me. Around me were many jackets and clothing items. Jayden picked up a black jacket and paid for it. He handed me the jacket and picked me up again.
I couldn't put it on so I just laid it across my chest as a blanket. I snuggled against it and soon drifted off to sleep, the karma of not getting a lot of sleep hitting me like a truck.

I slowly opened my eyes and found myself in a warm bed. I snuggled into the covers and shut my eyes again.
Wait. I thought as I instantly sat up.
I studied my surroundings and noticed that this was not my room.
"Brandon?" I called out. I was met with silence and I crawled out of the warm sheets.
I gasped in surprise when cold air hit me. I looked down at myself to notice that I was only in my undergarments. I jumped back under the covers and shook uncontrollably.
"I'll check to see if she's awake yet." A high pitched voice whispered outside of the door to the room I was in.
The door opened and bright lights flooded into the room, making me hiss.
"Oh hello Miss Vampire." The high pitched voice teased.
I opened my eyes to see a teenager with candy red hair. She was wearing a black choker on her neck and had a nose piercing as well as three ear piercings on each ear. She wore black shorts that reached about a few centimeters above her mid-thigh. Her white and black striped shirt cut off above her belly button and a leather jacket hung over her shoulders.
I stayed silent and remained under the covers.
"Oh! That's right! You need clothes! I'll be right back darling." She left the room and soon came back with similar clothes like her own. The only difference was the shorts, which were white and had strips hanging at the bottom. There was no leather jacket but the shirt was a bright yellow color. She also handed me a stylish jean jacket and I took the clothes from her hands.
She walked to the bed and sat down. She told me to go the the bathroom and take a shower and I did so, trying to cover myself up a bit as I walked over to it. I locked the door behind me and started the shower. The shower was relaxing and I soon finished, drying myself off.
I started to put the clothes on. I looked at myself in the mirror and winced as I saw all the scars on my arms, legs, and face in a position for anyone to see.
I sighed in defeat after realizing that I couldn't hide them and walked back out.
The girl looked up and started at me in shock. Her mouth opened and closed but eventually a sound escaped her lips, and it was an ear shattering scream.
Footsteps ran through the the house and many people ran into the room. They were oblivious to my presence and started asking the girl what was wrong. She slowly lifted her hand to point at me and everyone turned to me.
Their eyes slowly widened and I tried to walk back to the bathroom to hide.
"Summer don't you dare move." I heard Jayden command. My feet disobeyed me and stopped in their tracks.
A hand grabbed my shoulder and turned me around again. Jayden's eyes stared intensely at me.
"He did this to you didn't he." He stated.
"Who's he? I know many hes. There's you, Brandon, all these guys behind you, the guys at school..."
I trailed off a weakly laughed.
"You left out one important guy." He angrily said.
"Who? Oh right the celebrities! Let me just go say sorry to every single celebrity really quick." I tried moving away from Jayden, but his grip on my shoulder tightened.
"No. Your ass of a dad." He growled.
I laughed hesitantly and he glared at me even more.
"Answer me! Was it him?" He yelled.
"Umm... Summer is not here right now, she is mentally running for her life and trying to get away from a harasser named Jayden. Please get the bleep away from me right now after the tone. BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!" I screeched the last part and I saw some of the people behind Jayden try to hide their laughter.
Jayden threw me over his shoulder and started running somewhere. I pounded on his back but he refused to let me down.
All of the sudden I was being held by my waist and I looked down. A pool of water was below me and I gulped in fear and tightly grasped Jayden's arms.
"Now did he do this or not!" He yelled.
"Ummmmmm-AAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" Before I knew it Jayden had dropped me and I sinked to the bottom of the pool. He must have thought I was joking with him cause I looked up and saw him laughing.
I struggled to try and swim up and I started to get dizzy.
After what seemed like and hour, Someone brought me up to the surface and laid me on the ground surrounding the pool.
I gasped for air and constantly opened and closed my eyes. A vision suddenly filled my mind.
"Come on Summer! You need to get clean." My dad said.
My four year old self pouted and looked at him terrifyingly. He huffed in frustration and pulled on the straps of my bathing suit to yank me to where he was. I screamed in fear and he laughed. He started cleaning my hair and I tried to get away from him. He got very angry and yanked my hair to the bottom of the tub, under the water.
I started flailing my arms around, trying to get air. I could here my dad' shuffled laughing echo through the bathroom.
When I was close to passing out, he yanked my head out of the water again.
"Better not do that again." He smirked at me, and tears fell down my cheeks.
"Summer!" A deep voice called.
"Summer!" It called again.
"SUMMER!" I sat up quickly and wiped the tears that tried to fall away. Jayden was standing above me with a worried look on his face. I quickly stood up and ran back to the house.
I was to scared to be alone at this moment, but I didn't want to open up to anyone.

[I'M BAAAAACCCCCKKK!
I liked the mission trip a lot. I was with in indoor group and we worked at a food bank and then a Habitat for Humanity Restore.
