"You mustn't be

Sparkle a little
Brighter,
Darling"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------After the incident with the pool, an older guy, who introduced himself as Brandon, showed me to my room. I thanked him and locked myself in the room.
I studied the room's features and noticed a window. I walked up to it and looked outside of it.
Below me was the pool that I had almost drowned in.
I walked outside of the room and tried to find the kitchen.
As I walked past the row of doors, I heard a muffled crying. I turned around and tried to find where it came from.
"Alessandra, why'd you have to go?" I heard through one of the doors. The sobbing continued but a bit louder this time.
I tried to open the door but I found it locked. An idea popped in my head and I pulled a bobby pin from my hair. After multiple attempts of trying to unlock the door, it finally unlocked with a soft click. I opened the door to see a guy who looked about 18. He was under his covers with his back towards me.
I slowly walked up to him and tapped his shoulder. He jumped and pushed me against the wall opposition of his bed. I had trouble breathing because he had his hand on my neck. I tried to claw at his hand but he didn't move.
I started whimpering and he looked down at me. His eyes were obvious proof that he had been crying. His black hair covered his eyes partially and his ice blue eyes stared at me with a deathly glare.
He dropped me instantly and I fell to the ground with a thud. I rubbed my neck felling the mark that he left.
"What do you want." He spoke to me. His voice sounded weak, even though he tried to sound terrifying.
"I-I'm sorry. I heard crying a-and I wanted to make sure that you were okay." I said.
"Wait. Who are you and why are you in this house?" Before I could explain, he pulled out s knife and held it to my throat.
"JAYDEN!" He yelled.
Jayden came running into the room and saw me with a knife to my throat.
"Don't give her ideas!" Jayden yelled at the guy standing over me.
He huffed in annoyance and removed the knife from my throat. While him and Jayden were having an argument, I studied the blade the guy was holding.
The handle was black with dark red lines, making the handle seem as if there were dark red vines wrapping themselves around it. I then focused my eyes to the blade itself. It was very sharp and was curved ever so slightly. A perfect tool to kill... I thought to myself.
"Summer!" Jayden yelled at me.
I broke out of my trance and looked at him.
"Introduce yourself." Jayden told the guy he was just arguing with.
He sighed before opening his mouth to speak.
"Hello, I'm Stefan." His voice was deep, and sounded crisp and cold, almost deadly.
I gulped and nodded. "I'm Summer." My voice cracked.
Jayden nodded in satisfaction and left the room, leaving me and Stefan alone again.
"C-can I see your blade?" I asked Stefan.
He gave me an untrustworthy look and shook his head. I gave him my best pouty face and he sighed in frustration. "Fine." He said, before handing me the blade.
I flipped the blade over and over again in my hand. Surprisingly, it was very light.
"Where'd you get it?" I asked him.
"Gift from someone." He said.
"Alessandra?" I asked.
He took a deep breath and nodded, before snatching the knife away from my grasp.
"Leave." He ordered.
I nodded and left him alone. I closed the door behind me and went back to my room.
My mind told me to go to sleep, but I ignored it, and ended up staying up all night, with constant visions of my past torturing me.***
It was now 3 am. I still couldn't make myself sleep. I started softly sobbing a while ago.
I didn't know what to do to get these visions to go away. An idea came to my head and I crawled out of bed. My legs headed to Stefan's room. I slowly opened the door. The door creaked and I winced when Stefan moved. He just turned his face towards me and started snoring softly again.
I mentally cheered. My eyes wandered around the room looking for the blade he had earlier.
I found it on a small bedside table next to his bed. I lifted the blade and twirled it through my fingers as I smirked to myself. I quickly drove the blade across the skin above my wrist. Tears formed at my corners of my eyes as the blood started to fall down my arm.
A hand violently pulled the blade out of my hand. I looked up to see Stefan glaring down at me. I gulped in fear and tried to escape. He blocked my path and grabbed my still bleeding arm.
He pulled me to the bathroom that connected to his room and he pushed me to sit on the toilet lid. His arm reached above me and it held a small washcloth. I tried to back away as he tried to reach my cut with the now damp cloth.
He growled and snatched me by my hair. I whimpered in pain as he held me in place with my hair and dabbed at the cut on my skin. He took out a liquid and slowly poured it onto the cut. I cried out in pain as he took the washcloth and slowly rubbed it around the cut.
Once Stefan was done, he brought me out of the bathroom and sat me on his desk chair. He went over to close his door and turn on the lights in his room.
I rolled the chair away from him as he started to walk towards me.
His face leaned close to mine, making the glare in his ice blue eyes more visible.
"What the heck was that!" He whisper-yelled.
I stayed silent and he brought his face back and huffed in annoyance. He paced around the room before stopping suddenly.
He turned to me with an evil glint in his eyes.
Stefan's arm reached out to grab me and he dragged me out of his room. I started to try and walk to keep up with him.
We stopped in front of a doorway and Stefan burst into the room, still holding onto me.
He forced me to sit on the floor as he ran to the sleeping person. Stefan jumped onto the body making the person, obviously a man, yell in anger.
"Stefan what do you want!" The voice, now identified as Jayden, yelled at Stefan.
"Found this one in my room, with my blade, cutting herself." I instantly knew what Stefan was planning and I ran out of the room. I hurried into my room and locked the door behind me.
"SUMMER!" Jayden yelled. "OPEN THIS DOOR RIGHT NOW!"
I coughed in fear, "N-not by the hairs on my chiny chin chin!" I yelled back.
I heard Jayden huff in annoyance before his footsteps grew fainter as he walked away.
"I can try if you want to." A high pitched voice stated.
I heard a quick 'do it' before a rattling started at the door handle. I tried to figure out what was going on before the door bust open.
I screamed in fear and jumped under the covers of my bed.
Many hushed voices were heard outside of my room. I heard snippets of it and from what I could tell, they were arguing about who would go in. The voices stopped and a voice whined. "Ugh fine!"
Four pairs of footsteps could be heard walking towards my now shaking I fear figure.
"Sweetie. Could you please come out of the covers?" A soft and calming voice called.
When I didn't answer, Jayden yelled at me. "Summer come out of those damn covers! We need to talk about what you just freakin did!"
I moaned in protest as someone ripped off the covers. The mattress dipped in and I felt a hand me my injured arm.
"Oh sweetie." The soft, calming voice cooed.
I started sobbing and the woman hugged me. "Now's not the time for sympathy! She needs to be punished!" Jayden yelled in frustration, making me wince.
"I don't need another girls blood on the blade." I heard Stefan mumble.
I practically jumped five feet in the air and stared at him. I tried to get to the doorway but Jayden blocked it.
I ran towards the window and opened it, climbing onto the outside of it. Shouts of protest filled the air around me as I climbed towards the roof.
I stood on the roof and glared at the night sky.
"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" I screamed at the sky. "YOU TOOK HER AWAY FROM ME! YOU ARE JUST STANDING UP THERE WATCHING ME SUFFER!"
As if my cries of anger had reached the skies, it started to pour. The roof became very slippery and I started to slip. I screamed in fear as my body no longer had any friction, causing it to slide extremely close the the edge of the roof.
As I slid off the edge, I grabbed onto the edge, where there was a deepened opening.
I looked below me to see almost everyone staring up at me in fear.
"A PICTURE WILL LAST LONGER YOU KNOW!" I screamed at them.
My words seemed to unfreeze their bodies as they tried to figure a way to help me.
I screamed as my hand slipped a small fraction.
"I REALLY DON'T HAVE ALL NIGHT!" I screamed again.
"JUMP INTO THE POOL!" Someone yelled.
I looked below me to see the pool below me. "BUT I CAN'T SWIM!" I screamed.
"WE WILL GET YOU OUT AS SOON AS WE CAN!"
I gulped in fear and closed my eyes. I positioned my feet to touch the wall of the house and I pushed off, letting go of the small ledge. I wasn't ready for death but I already went ahead and didn't breath.
My body came into quick contact with water and my speed was instantly slowed down. I felt myself hit the bottom of the pool and arms quickly picking me up.
As I was put onto the ground, I realized how much I was shaking in fear. My eyes were still shut, afraid that it wasn't over.
"Summer!" I heard my little brother call. Small arms hugged me and I sat up and looked at him with a smile.
"Your starting to get talkative." I teased him.
He gave me a glare ad I laughed and hugged him. A small cough was heard through the rain and I looked up to see everyone staring at me, some of them glaring.
Jayden walked up to me. "Your room. A week. We will bring you food." Was all he said before he walked back inside.
I will visit you everyday I promise! Brandon signed.
I laughed before signing back to him. That's my boy.
He giggled. I'll even try to bring an iPhone.
I sighed, knowing I needed to talk to him and private.
"Could you guys leave us alone for a second?" I asked the gang beside me.
They nodded their heads and headed inside. I picked up Brandon and carried him to my room.[Sorry I didn't publish anything last week! I have no excuse besides I just forgot. I'll hopefully start posting weekly again so your not on a cliffhanger too long. One more very important thing, SMILE💛. Chow!]
