Chapter 8 - The Beginning

Well, that's that and from then on Crabbe and Cecilia never disturbed us again. Well at least after my threats. Taking the bus with Draco every morning was perfect, that was literally how I wanted to spend every single one of my mornings. With him. We flirted a lot, and we became super close. Let's skip to one month later, okay? Now it's September. Let's go to this day, September 26th. Well you all  know how playful Draco and I can be, right? So we were in the bus, and Draco always wanted to sit near the window so, we were making jokes and everything, and he suddenly leaned against me and put his head on my shoulders. Well, Happy Birthday to me! (It's not my birthday it's just a phrase). I put my head on his head too and I giggled. My hands were on my lap, and I was sitting cross legged. Draco took my hand and stared at my fingers. 

"Is it possible for your fingers to even be so perfect?" he said. 

"Shut up, you're talking rubbish now,"

"Mmm, whatever you say. Eh eh, instead of going home why don't we go to the garden behind the.. um, the one I showed you when you first came here," 

"Oh my God definitely. My mum's not at home anyway, she's on a business trip with my Dad, so YAY!" 

Mum and Dad were really on a business trip, and since they're not around, why not go wherever I want to? Oh yeah! Mum and Dad bought an apartment, it's not too far away from our old place which is the hotel, but it's a decent apartment! At least I have my own room. I used to share a room with Mum, horrid I tell you. Especially when she changes in front of me! My goodness, Mum, must you really? Don't even know why she didn't want to share a room with Dad, but now each of us have seperate rooms! Maybe coming to England wasn't a bad idea. Mum kept to her word and left me alone with whoever I wanted to be friends with. Draco and I only had a few months more of school, and then we could carry on with either work, or studies. The both of us weren't sure at all, I mean, yolo man, yolo. Kidding I don't know how to use YOLO. Anyway, Draco and I loved to hang out after school, I mean, I could totally tell Draco was in love with me, or at least falling in love with me. Definitely I already had a crush on Draco, I mean he put his head on my shoulders, who doesn't want their crush to do that? I'm just lucky we're both loners and we both found each other. If we got together I had to be really sure that Mum didn't find out.

She's already so strict with me even being friends with Draco, just friends. I don't even know if I can even get a boyfriend. Look at how she's so protective. Mum really has to calm the heck down. Anyway, Draco and I went to that little garden meadow thing i don't know not too far away from his apartment and we just lay down in the grass staring at the clouds. 

"Have you ever wondered how the clouds feel like?" he asked as he turned to his side to look at me. 

"Good question, no, I haven't,"

"Hm, come," he stood up and grabbed my hand, pulling me up. He twirled my hand over my head and pulled me in to his waist. 

"What are we again?" he asked, purposely.

"Best friends," I replied, blushing.

Draco kissed my cheek and walked around the garden with me, holding my hand. 

"I never thought we'd be this close, doing these things, together, but alone," I said.

"Me too, I mean.. nevermind," 

Well I can say that Draco is the best thing that's ever happened to me, and the thought of me leaving him alone, and the thought of him leaving me alone, is just, impossible. Our friendship was just too strong. What other kinda bestfriends kiss and hold hands? I mean it's pretty rare, right? I loved loved loved loved Draco and I's relationship. It's just so unbreakable. "Love is louder than the pressure to be perfect." I really was just, waiting for Draco to ask me out, but even if he didn't, I'd be perfectly fine with us being bestfriends. We act like a couple, he kisses me, that's good enough. Deep in my heart I just know that Draco and I are in love with each other, but I don't think he realises it. It was such a pity, that Draco's girlfriend broke up with him just because he didn't know to stand up for himself. Stupid reason, really. Draco's so loving, caring, sweet. He has an amazing personality, and his looks are just a bonus. I can never stop loving him. 

"Draco, darling," I said, laughing.

"Yeah?" 

"Could you tell me more about.. your ex girlfriend.. if you don't mind," 

"Oh, hah, definitely. Well, she was a really pretty girl, which was what made me really attracted to her. Then.. and no, I didn't meet at her at the cafe.. I met her at school. She's in class 15.. I loved her a lot. But as usual, Crabbe loved to pick on me. Cecilia and Crabbe beat me up, and she was there. And I didn't fight back, or anything. She didn't stop them, because she was scared. There and then, after they finished beating me up, she yelled at me. She told me, "Draco, you're.. just SUCH A WIMP. DON'T YOU KNOW HOW TO STAND UP FOR YOURSELF?! IF YOU CAN'T TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU CAN TAKE CARE OF ME? I'm so done with you, I'm breaking up with you. Oh and you know what, I never even loved you," and she threw my things at me. She threw away everything I gave her in front of me. From the cards, to the rings, the necklaces, everything. I cried, so bad, and I just, made my way back home. It was depressing, because I loved her so much," he said. 

I could see tears in Draco's eyes as he was speaking. Definitely could tell that he loved her a lot. I don't even cry when I think about my ex boyfriend. 

"Aw, damn.. That's really sad."

Draco snickered and he sat down beside me. 

"You over her yet?"

"Yeah. We broke up 5 or 6 months ago. The memories just, hurt. I mean, that's the cruellest way for someone to leave you, in my opinion," he looked down and sighed. "But you know, things got better," 

"Really? Why? What happened?"

"I met someone."
