Nevaeh shrieked and let go of Raven, who was clinging to her. She ran and kneeled besides Jeordie, asking him if he was okay while caressing his cheek. David stood behind Nevaeh, placed his hands on her shoulders, and gave them a light squeeze, letting Nevaeh know that he was there with her.Raven tried to run after her mom, to Jeordie, but a pair of strong arms grabbed her waist from behind and stopped her. She turned around, saw Head, and hugged him. Normally, she wouldn't be this bold and just hug someone. But, right now, she wasn't thinking straight. She was terrified, she was worried, she didn't want to lose her brother. She continued hugging Head as he slowly walked her over to Jeordie.
Concerned for Jeordie's well being, Raelinn, Jonathan, and Munky quickly followed and gathered around Jeordie. Expressions of extreme worry in all of their faces.
Fieldy kneeled down next to Nevaeh and placed two fingers on Jeordie's neck, trying to find a pulse. Jeordie still had a steady pulse, but it was getting weaker by the second.
"Give him some space!" yelled Fieldy, pushing everyone away from Jeordie.
"I'm going to have to give him CPR." he explained.
He inched closer to Jeordie, placed his interlocked hands, palms down, on Jeordie's chest, and did 30 chest compressions. He then lowered his face and placed his mouth against Jeordie's cold lips. He gave Jeordie two rescue breaths then another 30 compressions. He continued doing the chest compressions for the recommended two minutes, but nothing was happening, Jeordie wasn't responding. Fieldy pumped his chest more desperately this time, he couldn't let Jeordie die, he needed him alive. He didn't know why but Jeordie intrigued him. There was something about him that caught Fieldy's attention, something that caused Fieldy to question his sexuality. Fieldy started to wondered if he could have feeling for Jeordie, if he could amount to something with him. Fieldy shook those thoughts away, now was not the time to be thinking such things. He needed to concentrated on saving Jeordie. Fieldy placed his lips on Jeordie's, gave him two breaths, and did a couple more chest compressions. Water started leaking out of Jeordie's mouth. Fieldy stopped the compressions and moved back a little, giving Jeordie some space.
Jeordie jerked up to a sitting position and started coughing out all the water that had gotten into his lungs. Nevaeh sighed in relief and pulled Jeordie towards her for a hug.
"I thought I had lost you." whispered Nevaeh into her son's ear, as she hugged him tighter.
"I-I'm okay.... I'm f-fine." Jeordie managed to stutter out in between coughs.
"Maybe we should leave and take you to a hospital. I don't want you to get sick. That water was probably freezing cold." Raelinn said, squatting down next to Jeordie.
"I said I'm fine. I just want to go back to the house."
"Yeah, we better head back, it looks like it's going to rain." Munky pointed out, looking up at the grey sky.
"Yeah, let's go." David said, helping Nevaeh up.
Raven was still in Head's arms, clinging to him, when he noticed how much she was shaking. He let go of her for a moment, took off his hoodie, and offered it to her. She gratefully took it with a smile and put it on. It was very big but it was warm, and it smelled nice. Fieldy saw what Head did for Raven and thought he should do the same for Jeordie. He offered Jeordie his hand, helped him stand up, and gave him his jacket.
Everything had been packed, so everyone started walking back to the mansion. The whole walk back was silent, everyone seemed to be lost in their own thoughts.
Raelinn was glad that Raven and Jeordie were fine. But she still couldn't shake the feeling of uneasiness off. Jonathan noticed and pulled her in for a tight hug, and whispered words of comfort to her. She knew everything was fine now but just the thought of losing Jeordie had made her feel very uneasy. Raelinn hugged him back. The rest of the way back, she and Jon walked hand in hand, enjoying each others presence.
Nevaeh felt pretty much the same as Raelinn. David found it odd that two seventeen year olds didn't know how to swim, and asked Nevaeh about it. She explained to him that they had never wanted to learn how to swim because they were terrified of deep water. Their biological mother had drowned in front of them when they were five, and it had left them traumatized. After years of therapy their trauma had almost gone away, but Nevaeh feared that it might come back after what happened today.
Munky and Fieldy walked besides Jeordie, trying to make him feel better, cracking jokes, just trying to make him laugh. They were unsuccessful in making him laugh, but they did manage to make him smile more than once, which was something, considering the state he was in.
They reached the house just before the rain started pouring down. Raven and Jeordie took a warm bath, while everyone else just took a quick shower. After that, they all ate dinner and then they decided to watch a movie to try to get their minds off things.
Raven sat next to Head, he had been a great comfort to her, he made her feel safe, like nothing could go wrong. All she wanted was to be near him, sitting next to him made her feel better. Not even five minutes into the movie she fell asleep. Head scooted closer to her and wrapped his arms around her.
Raelinn couldn't keep her attention on the movie so she decided to go down into the basement to smoke a joint. Jon knew it wasn't a good idea to leave her alone in her current state, so he waited a moment then followed her down to the basement. Down there they shared a joint and talked, about nothing and everything. They spent the whole night together, talking, they were becoming great friends.
Nevaeh and David had a lot to talk about so they excused themselves and headed to Nevaeh's room. They had planned on giving everyone some exciting news at the picnic, but after what happened, they didn't get the chance. So, they talked about how to find the right moment to break the news to everyone. After talking for a while Nevaeh's neck started hurting, from all the stress. David noticed her rubbing the back of her neck and smirked. He knew what to do to make her feel better. David positioned himself behind Nevaeh, placed his hands on her neck, gently glided his fingers up and down her neck, and kneaded her tense muscles. The message helped Nevaeh calm down. They continued talking for a couple of hours until they fell asleep in each other's arms.
Jeordie was exhausted after the day's events, he tried keeping his eyes open to watch the movie, but he couldn't. He closed his eyes in defeat and slowly drifted off to sleep. After a couple of minutes, his head started to slowly fall right, towards Fieldy's shoulder. Fieldy grabbed one of the couch cushions and placed it on his shoulder, for Jeordie to rest on. Fieldy looked at him sleep and couldn't help but notice how cute he looked. Without thinking Fieldy started stroking Jeordie's soft black hair. Head noticed and lightly smiled.
"You like him, huh?" Fieldy didn't know what to respond, he wasn't gay but he couldn't deny that he felt something whenever Jeordie was around.
"I don't know, man. But, I don't want to, it's wrong." Head rolled his eyes. He knew Fieldy always denied his feelings. But, eventually he would give in and embrace them.
"What about you? Do you like her?" Fieldy asked, gesturing towards Raven.
"Yeah, I do." admitted Head. At first he had though it was just lust, he thought he had just wanted to sleep with her. But, after today, after almost losing her, he realized he cared for her.

I finally updated, yay!
I'll try to update more regularly. Also, I feel like this story is progressing so slow. I just want to start writing all the crazy stuff. But, oh well. I'll just have to wait.
