Kyou decided to try the first floor. He tried all the doors along the halls but none seemed to be unlocked, causing the Japanese man to become frustrated and glare at every door he tried to open. He continued searching though, and came to a small hallway with a door at the end. There he saw a weird creature enter the room.
“’The hell was that…?” he asked himself as he drew his katana and proceeded to follow the creature into the room. He tried the door. Locked.
“Dammit…” he growled lowly as he started to walk back to where he came from. “Well, seen as there are a few floors to this mansion, I may as well try the next floor. They best be there…” he put his katana back into its sheathe and started walking up the stairway leading to the second floor.
Once getting to the second floor, he tried the two doors on the left, and to his surprise they were unlocked. It seemed the room was a bedroom, and in the corner was a curtain. “Probably a walk-in closet.” He rolled his eyes. “I’m guessing Flavio will be claiming this room.”
He began walking over to the bed and he saw something laid on it.
“Jaspers pistol…? The hell is that doing her-“he was cut off by a small sound coming from the curtain. He drew his katana once more and began to slowly approach the curtain. He threw the curtain to the side, ready to fight, only to see Jasper, curled up and shivering, looking like a lost child.
“Jasper? Are you kidding me?” the sight caused Kyou to smirk a little, it was fun seeing Jasper like this. Jasper refused to respond, only shivering, it looked as if he was too scared to even talk. Something traumatizing must have happened.
Kyou sighed “do you need a drink?”
This only earned a nod from the petrified German so Kyou just shrugged and walked out the room, in search for, preferably, water.
He decided to search downstairs and found a bathroom.
“Perfect…” he muttered as he walked over to the closest sink in the room, and smirked when he noticed it worked. He filled up a cup (god knows how he found that) and set off back to the room where Jasper was.
Once back in the room he pulled back the curtain and handed him the cup.
“Oi baka here’s your water.” Kyou said blankly and Jasper just drank it quickly.
“Danke…but are you sure that was water?” Jasper asked weakly.
“No.” Kyou just stated bluntly, no emotion changing on his face.
“…right…” Jasper just said, knowing Kyou that could have been anything.
“So, I found you, where’s the others?” Kyou asked, looking around curiously.
“Uhh…I’m not too sure…I was too freaked out to notice where everybody else went…”
“uh huh…crap. Looks like I gotta look for them too.” Kyou groaned, irritated with the new responsibility that had been given to him.
“Ja. Um, while you’re down there, could you get me something to eat…?” Jasper whispered his head low.
Kyou rolled his eyes, “you’re worse that a child. Fine.” and turned to leave when Jasper spoke up again.
“W-wait! I found a key whilst I was running…you may need it.”
Kyou walked back over and snatched the key. He walked out the door and shut it behind him, leaving Jasper to cool down a little.
Kyou had decided to start from the ground floor and work his way up, and so he did. When he noticed the key didn’t work on those, he tried the other side of the stairs. Luckily, the first door on that side unlocked.
“Yes!” he grinned at the success and walked inside.
As he walked inside the room he stopped dead, seeing something moving inside the room. He sprinted to the table on the other side of the room, away from whatever was moving and studied whatever was on the table. His face lit up, however, when he saw an onigiri rice ball on the table.
“Onigiri! The heck leaves this on a table?” he raised a brow and suddenly heard a noise. He looked up and saw the creature he had saw before.
“…obviously him.” He shrugged before pocketing the Onigiri, unsheathing his katana and slashing at it, whilst dodging its own attack. Suddenly the creature hissed in a weird voice “YoU wOn'T eScApE!" causing Kyou to raise a brow and smirk.
“Watch me.” He shouted and ran towards the door, trying to open it, only to find out it was locked, giving the creature time to knock him out of the way with some strange power.
“Dammit!” he exclaimed before seeing a key in the far corner. “…really? A key? Who the hell leaves a key in a corner!?” he wondered to himself but grabbed it anyway and unlocked the door, swinging it open and running out the room.
Once he had exited the room, he mentally kicked himself for not looking for anything useful before the creature attacked.
“I should go back in there, see what else there is.”
he opened the door and looked around to see if the creature had gone and to his surprise, it had! So he waked in and saw a key on the floor, causing a small chuckle to escape the Japanese man’s lips.
“That weird creature must have dropped it.” He presumed and picked it up, seeing something engraved into it.
“Fourth floor…looks like I’m going there next then!” he rolled his eyes and exited the room, heading in the direction of the fourth floor.
