The day came all the girls were laser focused that day and no fooling around during school. They knew that tonight there was going to be a big crowd for the rival game. They all ate healthy and each were to give a speech of encouraging words at the pit before the game.

"Okay ladies today's the day we take down the roadrunners from Wallace High School. Our parents are out there cheering us on. All I have to say is good luck and play with all your heart." Karlie finished her speech.

"Alright bitches im gonna try and keep my cool but lets kick some ass!" Cara yelled and the girls laughed.
Each girl went and Taylor felt the need to say one also for Karlie's sake.
The girls where suiting up some tucking their pants in their sock for the classic look, others stretching, putting their stripes on cheeks and Martha who was putting her catcher gear on.

"Umm...excuse me.." Taylor spoke in a soft shy way. "Hey hey blondie here got something to say." Jourdan told the team. "I want to say is that good luck and that you all have worked so hard. I know you'll beat the roadrunners and here I got something for you guys." She pulled out a box and handed it to Lily. The girls smiled to see that Taylor made a team bracelets. All different from another. Some were red and white or white and red, they had the players name with a bat of softball at the end or a bat that ran thru the name as it were branded. "Hey Kaptian didn't get one." "No she didn't. She gets something else." She told Karlie to turn around and cover her eyes. "Open." Two dog tags and two charm one bat and softball was her necklace. One dog tag was red and was engraved with tiny diamonds T + K on it and the other tag was silver that had the teams logo on it. She looked at it closely and hug the life out. The girls were heading to the field leaving the lovers alone. Karlie pulled away a kissed her hard before going to the field.

Welcome everyone to this beautiful evening for today's rivalry game! Yes the Lady Cardinals against the Lady Roadrunners what a match up. Look at this crowd I swear the crowd gets bigger and bigger every year. Now lets head to the action with the Roadrunner up first to bat.

The batter went up to plate and Martha sent the signal to Lily on the mound strike out the girl in a mere or 1 minute. The next two batters went the same strike outs having the Cards up to bat. "Whoooo Lily you have a hot hand right now." "Please, please I'm just playing the sport......oh shit noooo!!! Toni's the pitcher." "Cara your up and no talking while at bat to anyone." "Yeah yeah. No promises." She mumbled that last part. "Uh oh girls looks like we have the crumpets and tea girl at bat." The second baseman taunted. "I'll show you!" First pitch and it went as a foul. Second pitch and that ball went straight down the line to right field deep in. "Hows that for a Brit! Got the double." "Whatever eyebrows." "What'd you call me!" The pit from both sides came in to pull the girls apart. "Hey Karlie you look stunning in that uniform." "Fuck off Toni!" Lily yelled at her. "Hey hey!!" Karlie yelled and both players went to there respective teams to cool off and hit the base again. Gigi was up to bat and what was first a good looking game turned dirty. The ball almost hit Gigi right on the wrist if she hadn't had dodged it shaking off the chill she felt. Toni would look over her should at Cara in case she made a run for it but would occasionally wink at Karlie. Karlie would run her hands up and down not ready to face her and she knew her turn was four bats away. Gigi ended up get striked out accompanied with Candice. One more out Karlie begged for the first time. Up at bat was Lily and Cara was jumping up and down for something to happen. Whack. The ball went right into the short stop but fell in a weird position giving Cara the chance to make it home but Lily got struck out. Quickest play ever to get that done.

The game was at the 6th inning still the Cardinals 1-0 lead with its occasionally drama.

Again the Roadrunners hit the plate only to have Toni at bat and blew a kiss to Karlie. In the bleachers sat a very mad yet worried Taylor. She was mad at Toni's actions but worried about Karlie's mental state right now. What she did notice was that Karlie clutched her dog tags and smiled at Taylor. Toni noticed the exchange and focused on Lily. First pitch ended up with a strike. The second went straight to Karlie and threw so hard the it left Candice in pain but apparently Toni was faster. Candice was replaced by Kendall who had a sprained knee but there wouldn't be much movement for the next turn at bat for the Roadrunners.

Bases where loaded with 2 outs, 2 strikes with Toni on third and ohh how they had to calm Cara she was about to bitch slap Toni for when she ran to third drew her hand to Karlie's face leaving her off guard and pissed. Taylor wanted to kill that bitch so she decided to go to the pit a wait for Karlie there. Lily read the signal and the pitch was a knuckle ball hardest pitch to throw but it was there only hope this moment to keep the 1-0 lead on them. Strike! Your out!

"Damn that was close." Martha told Lily. Behati brought a dazed, pissed Karlie to the pit because 1.) Its her turn to bat, 2.) Toni is the pitcher 3.) Toni! "Sorry we came in a bit late I had to escort her since I saw Toni coming near her." Behati explained. "Hey don't-" "Shut up! I got this....I got this." She grabbed her bat and helmet only to be stopped by Taylor's hand. She turned around looking into ice blue eyes. Nothing was said because they understood each other and Karlie let a puff of air out ready to step up.

She dug her cleats to the soil, kissed her dog tags one last time and on her helmet went. She ready herself and swung get a strike her temperature rose but cooled down. Second pitch was thrown and it looked like it going out just to bounce off the wall having the second base run for it being the closest. Karlie ran as fast as she could that her helmet came off at the turn and saw where the ball was at and Toni covering for second base. Garrn get ready for impact. The ball was thrown to Toni but right when Karlie was about to crash into her Toni moved having the ball hit Karlie right on the temple.

There laid an unconscious Karlie having Toni tend to her. Taylor ran to the field shoving Toni out of her way a yelled at her saying, "You did that on purpose! You moved last minute for her to get hit!" The last word cracked. Both pits came out separating each other. Mostly Cara against 3 roadrunners. The crowd was on their feet with caps off and bring Karlie's parents were Candice and Behati. A heartbroken Taylor held onto Karlie begging her to wake up having Lily rub her back.

An ambulance came and the paramedics mounted Karlie up having her teammates down on one knee till she was taken away. Anger took over Taylor that she walked over to Toni and slapped her so hard her finger tip showed. "Haha! Ohh that hurt but you ain't worth the fight. Your weak and worthless. Yeah I cheated on Karlie bit doesn't mean I can ease my way into her life." She spit. "I have the whole team with me so I know I ain't worthless or weak they are what make me strong and Karlie is my rock. But right now she needs me to be hers. That I'll be." "Whatever loser I send her a kiss. Tell her that." With she left and the whole team was on there way to the hospital.

"Please be okay.....please..." she mumbled to herself with tears streaming down her face.
