29. Pain but Gain

Karlie had the doctors okay of being released and back to her normal schedule of going to to school.

*first day back

"Good morning miss Karlie its nice to see you again tall and strong." "Nice to see you too Ms. Paine." She walked back to her seat with Taylor behind her seeing that her desk had small little gifts of welcome back and get well soon from the class. "Well the beauty queen has arrived!" Cara said among them.

"Feels good to be back and pumped for practice." "Take it easy though I don't want you to get winded or pass out or be in pain." "Kitten don't worry I'll be okay. I promise."

*lunch

"Woo! Back to normal lunch." Jourdan exclaimed. "It feels good to be back I feel more alive and ready for practice." "You sure your still in shape?" "Im pretty sure I am." Taylor was curled up with Karlie afraid something would happen to her but was in her little world debating that it will and won't be okay.
"So....hows the memory?" Behati  brought up. "Umm a bit fuzzy but the doctor said I'll have mood swings..so I can get mad or other awful things.." "What kind of awful." Taylor asked. Karlie mentally cursed herself for she didn't want to freak Taylor out. "Bad thoughts....like suicidal...." Taylor's eyes filled up with tears and the girls felt like they got shot. "I'll be okay its just a small flash. I'll still be Karlie no matter what. Now will you excuse us, I'll see y'all in a while."

Karlie grabbed Taylor's hand walking to the girls locker room for them to change. Taylor's locker was on the opposite side of Karlie's and when she turned around she saw her wearing her shorts and sport bra her back facing Tay. She hugged Karlie feeling her jump in surprised from the contact. "Hey babe what you doing there." She felt a kiss being pressed I to her back and wet knowing that Taylor was crying. "Hey kitten its okay I'm fine. See I'm still your sunshine, goofy dork. If anything happens like I get mad or anything else it wouldn't be directed to you and if I accidentally do something I apologize okay. I'll try my best for you." She finished her sentence with a kiss and wiped the tears away.
"You forgot one thing." "What is that?" "You forgot sexy which you haven't lost your abs." She ran her fingers through them. "Mmh what these." She flexed her tummy. Taylor was getting bubbly inside and hugged the life out of her and off they went outside ready for the next period.

"Damn! This girl is always in shape no matter what!" Cara yelled. "I know she's like not human. Tay! Can your girlfriend not be in shape." Yelled Alessandra. "I have no control over that girls." "Alright! Huddle up next game is this coming Friday against the Lady Knights. So I've heard of the past few games by barely winning but now were gonna crush it and take it home. This past obstacle will not bring us down. Lady Cardinals on three! 1..2..3!" "Cardinals!"

Practice was running smooth and Karlie noticed that the girls, especially Cara was getting slightly better in batting but what was a bit sloppy was when they would switch sides letting simple plays get by. On the second switch the home run hitter was up next. "Ah shit lets see if she still got it!"

Meanwhile Taylor took out her Polaroid camera take action pics of Karlie when she wasn't looking. She focused the camera a snap a picture of Karlie in her batting stance. The light hit her face perfect everything about her was perfect.

Karlie focused in on Lily trying to read the ball. *swoosh* "Strike one!....*crack!*  The ball soared through the air out of the field,"Of course it went out." Candice yelled. Karlie proudly rounded each base having Taylor waiting for her at home base.

"You still got it Kap." She winked at her and pulled her in for a kiss.
