It has been a week since Angel was killed fighting Safire.  I blame myself for what happened... It should have been me but that's what any best friend would say if a friend died.  I was still getting dressed when Oliver pulled up to my house.  He was wearing a nice tux that he rented for today.

He looked up at my window and I gave him a look that told him to just walk in and come to my room.  By time he got to my room I had put on my dress and started to French braid my hair.  Before he walked in he knocked to makes sure it was okay for him to come in at that moment.

"You ready to go?" I nodded at him.  Before he had a chance to walk ahead of me I stepped in front of him and pulled him in for a hug.  For a second he stood there... He slowly slid his hands across my back and held me tighter for what seemed like forever.

I looked up at him and he bent down and kissed me.  "Lets go and get this over with okay... Then we can come back and get comfortable and watch Netflix." I nodded at him.

As we began to walk out of the room I slowly slid my hand into his.  He stopped for a second and then looked at me.  We never held hands just hugged cuddled and occasionally a few kisses here and there.

He smiled at me and we walked out to his car.  He opened the door for me and then lifted me into his tall truck.  The whole drive to the cemetery we were silent... I could tell he didn't know what to say to me.  I could tell if he said something about her he would just make me burst to tears again.  Just thinking about it made the tears build up painfully in the back of my throat.

When we got to the cemetery we stared at the group of people already huddled around her.  "She wouldn't want this... Everyone being sad and depressed around a wooden box that was going to be put in the ground and that had a chance of being forgotten.  She would want us to leave her at the base of a beautiful tree and to be engulfed in the earth and become apart of the trees and the brush and the grass."  I paused and swallowed back my tears.  "She would want to be left there to run with the wolves like she had always dreamed of as a child.   She would want us to let the vines and grass and roots from the tree twine around her and pull her under the surface.  She wouldn't want... This."

"You know that even if this wouldn't be what she would want that isn't what she would want you to worry about."  I looked at him in resentment and he got out of the pickup.  He slowly walked over to my side of the truck and opened the door.  He slowly lifted me out of the car and places my feet softly on the ground.

We walked to the crowd of people... When they saw me I was surrounded in a swarm of hugs.  I felt like a charity case.  That one girl with the best friend that she's known since about the fourth grade was murdered.  But what sucks the most is no one knows the truth.

"I'm so sorry... I wish things could have turned out differently.  Have they found who did this?" Someone that I didn't even recognize came up and hugged me before I could see who it was.

"Um... No they haven't found out yet who did this."  She pulled away.  It was Safire I didn't know how I didn't recognize her smug voice.  I went to pull the venator blade out of my shoe but she stopped me before I could pull it out.

"Oh your really gonna pull that out and try to kill me here... Well that would be a waist look how well that would worked last time."  I stood there for a second still trying to contemplate how she could have gotten back here she vanished.

"But when I hit you with the knife you vanished."  She looked at me and smiled with and evil grin.  She looked from side to side and then looked back at me again.  She blinked slowly and her eyes when they opened went black.

I gasped and took a step back... I didn't know that demons really did poses people.  Safire giggled slightly then turned and walked away.  Quickly I walked around the crowd to find Oliver. When I found him he quickly got a worried look on his face.

"What happened you look like you've seen a ghost." He giggled to himself. "That is a horrible pun for the moment."  He stopped talking.

I caught my breath and then began to speak.  "Safire... It's Safire she's alive.  She didn't die when I hit her with the blade.  She's a demon."  Oliver gave a complete look of confusion then we sat down to continue the ceremony.
