Pov. Oliver

"Lydia just don't worry about it for now okay we will figure everything out when we go home."  She gave me a concerned look that told me that she wasn't going to lay this to rest until she knew that Safire was gone and would stay gone.

We stopped talking when we herd priest start to talk... Instantly you could hear people start to cry at the sound of hearing that Angle was actually gone.  Instantly I felt Lydia slowly slide her hand safely into mine and hold me close as if to fight back the tears that she could feel were about to break to the surface.  I only assume this because I wanted to hold her so she could cry and no one would give her any sympathy that she didn't want.  I would want to sit and in a dark room trying to pay attention to a movie I had put on that was supposed to help make her feel better.  But wouldn't work because her mind was clouded with the thought of the day her best friend was murdered.

I finally escaped my thoughts of when we watched Safire shove the venator knife into angles chest when Lydia began to shake me out of my fixated stare. Everyone was paying attention to the coffin when we heard a gasp from inside.  Instantly Angel sat up and Lydia ran to her and went to give her a hug.  Before she could Angel jumped up and took off toward where Safire had went.  I caught up to Lydia and held her back.  "We have to follow her."  She said.  "She's following Safire's scent... I think she is gonna try to kill her again and we don't know if she will actually come back this time."

I found Max in the crowd and rushed to him to figure out what to do... I don't want Lydia to go after her she might not get so lucky this time.  "Oliver you just take her to the cabin when I find Angel I will head out there to meet up with you guys."  I nodded and headed back to Lydia.

"Come on we are gonna head to the cabin... We need to get you a bag packed."  We rushed to my pick up and raced to Lydia's house.   Her dad must have seen us pull up in a rushed manner, he came outside "What's wrong... Did something happen at the funeral?"

"Yes Angle is alive and Safire isn't a wolf like we thought she was... She's a demon." Lydia made the situation seem worse that it actually is and I don't know how to fix that.

"We are going to the cabin to wait for max and his pack to bring her back and tell us news on Safire." Before Mr. Summers could talk I spoke again.  "Oh and we are gonna try to figure out how to kill Safire and make her stay dead."

"Well if you guys are gonna go Lydia you might want to go get pack and changed."  Her dad looked at her.  She quickly walked to the house to get ready.

"I'll wait in the pick up Lydia."  After Lydia shut the door I looked at Mr. Summers. "Oh before you go inside I wanted to ask you something.  Um... I wanted to ask for uh your blessing."  I paused nervously.  "To ask Lydia to marry me."

I could feel the heat of blush rise in my cheeks.  He paused for what seemed like forever before he answered. "Yes you have my blessing... Thank you for asking me."  I gave him a relieved smile and nodded.  He headed to the house and I headed to the pick up not being able to stop smiling.

When Lydia got into the truck I instantly tried my hardest to not seem as happy and as flushed as I did for the few minutes that she was inside with her dad and getting ready to go.  Before I even started the car I just stared at her... Held on to this moment.  She looked at me... "What?" As she said that I herd a slight laugh in her tone.

"I Love you Lydia June Summers."  I said in an over joyed tone.  I turned toward the wheel and turned the key.

"I love you too Oliver."  She looked at me and smiled then looked back toward the road.   About half way into the drive I glanced over and noticed she was slowly drifting off into sleep.  As I glanced out the windows I loved watching the beautiful and green rolling hills.  As we made our way out toward the forest and where the trees were dense I glanced out past the trees and saw that Sam and his pack had caught up to us.

When we got to a gas station I woke her up to see if she wanted anything to eat, which of course she said yes.  I ran in and made it quick I was hoping to get to the cabin before dark. I topped off the gas and we were off like a herd of turtles.   Most of the ride we were quiet and didn't day much.  Lydia spoke up and started a conversation.  "So are we gonna figure out everything with Angle this weekend?"  She asked like she didn't know the answer which she does.

"Yeah when we get there we are going to get settled in and find out if Sam was able to catch up to her."  I glanced at her and her face looked pale.  She looked like someone had just told her that her dog was hit by a car.

As I lifted my eyes up to the road I slammed my foot on the break as a wolf jumped out into the middle of the road.  All I remember is sliding to the side of the road and hitting my head against the windshield.  Just before everything faded to black I saw Lydia unconscious in the seat next to me.

.....................

I woke up with a sharp paint on my forehead.  I didn't open my eyes as I remembered what had happened during the drive.  I didn't want to know where I was.  Suddenly all I saw was Lydia next to me with blood drizzling down her forehead.  Quickly I opened my eyes and jumped out of bed almost falling to the floor.  As I let my eyes focus I noticed that we were in the cabin we were already headed for.   I began to stumble down the stairs and sighed in relief when I saw she had a bandage on her head and was laying asleep on the couch.

"Hey Oliver is that you?"  Asked a voice from in the kitchen. "If your hungry I made coffee and bought muffins. "  Suddenly I realized it was Sam.

I slowly stumbled in the kitchen and took a seat in the nearest chair.  "How long has she been asleep?"

"Uh... I don't know almost all day." He spoke as if to be unsure

"Okay good she needs all the rest she can get before she tries to deal with angle."

"Oh uh speaking of Angle."  He spoke in a quiet voice.  "We weren't able to track her or Safire."

Suddenly we herd a scream come from the living room it was Lydia.  I jumped out of my chair and ran into the living room.  Angle was standing in the door way... But when you looked into her eyes she looked like she wasn't really there.  Sam began to try to talk to her and get her attention.

"Angel its me."  He spoke soft and comforting. "Angel look at me... What's going on?"

I slowly crept over to my jacket on the chair about a foot away from me.  There was a venador knife on the inside that would take her down so that we could figure out what's going on.  I grabbed it and threw it perfectly and hit her were I wanted to.  On the right shoulder, she dropped instantly.
