Louis' pov***

"Hey mate, snap out of it," Liam says as he waves his hand in front of my face.

"Oh sorry," I said, shaking my head. "I was just thinking."

"About what?" Liam wiggled his eyebrows in a suggestive way. "A girl?"

"No, just random stuff," I replied. I looked around and I saw my best mate Harry coming over.

"Hey Harry!" I called loudly so he could hear me over the noisy cafeteria.

"Oh hey Harry. I think Louis has a girl he's not telling us about." Liam suggested.

"Oh really?" Harry said seductively.

"There's no girl! I just have a lot on my mind." I don't know why I'm even friends with these people.

My mind wonders and I can't help but think of Abbey as I look aimlessly around the cafteria. Maybe I'm subconsciencely looking for her. My friends conversations turn into faint murmers when I see her. Her blue eyes sparkle and her body shakes with laughter at something her friend must have said. Her hips sway in a hipnotic rythem as she walks by me, smiling as if she doen't have a care in the world. How can someone be so amazing and beautiful and not even know it.

"I have to go." I said quickly.

I threw away my lunch tray then hurried out of the cafeteria. As I walk toward the courtyard I wonder what I will say to Abbey. I know I have to be careful, she can just push me away in a heartbeat. Every time I see her she looks happy, but I can see the pain in her eyes. That's the only way I have to try to understand her; her eyes. It amazes me that those little orbs of color can tell you so much about a person.

The bell rings and I rush to grab my books. Four more hours of torture and then... Abbey.

***

It seems like an eternity has passes when the last bell rings. I brush past my classmates as I try to make my way down the hall. My friends wave at me, but I can only concentrate on making sure I get to Abbey's car. I push open the heavy double doors and the brisk fall air hits my face. Students talk while they head to their cars. The world around me blurs when I see her. The wind is blowing her long hair away from her face, and her head is down, hiding from the world around her. She looks up and blushes when she sees me. I smile and walk over, but she only looks at me, no expression on her face.

"Hi Abbey." I say, hoping she can't tell I'm blushing.

"Hi Louis." she replies quietly. Her cheeks are rosy from the cold air and she shivers when the breeze picks up.

"Here, take my jacket." I hand her my jacket and she smiles.

"Thank you." She puts on my jacket and I chuckle and how large it looks on her petite body.

"How was your day?" I ask. I wonder what she's thinking right now.

"Uneventful. Yours?"

"Same as any other day.... What do you say we go out this weekend? Just the two of us."

"That would be great. I can meet you at the coffee shop at the corner." she says.

"That sounds great! I'll see you then." she says excitedly.

"Bye!" I call as I walk towards my car. I hear her try to start her car a few times and I turn around to make sure everything's okay.

"Louis!" she calls. "I might have to take you up on that coffee offer tonight. And maybe a ride home. I think my car is having a little issue right now." she giggles.
