Abbey's pov***
"Oh! Here he is! Abbey, Colleen, meet my son Louis." I see Louis come stand next to his dad and my heart drops to my stomach.
"Lou?" My heart is pounding in my chest and I feel like I might faint.
"Abbey?" he asks, shock taking over his beautiful face. I see worry flash through his eyes and his mouth opens slightly in disbelief.
"Louis!" my mum yells before I can say anything.
She pulls him into a tight hug, yet his eyes never leave my gaze. "Hi Ms.Youngren. How are you?" he asks my mother.
"Great! Oh this is fantastic Mike. You see, Abbey and Louis have become good friends recently so this is perfect!" she says with a huge smile. If only she knew what was really the case.
"Well this is wonderful!" Mike agrees.
I look down at my hands and play with my thumbs. Louis is seated next to me and I feel his hand wrap around mine underneath the table. He looks at me and squeezes my hand gently.
I look up and see the waiter come over. He is obviously checking me out and I see Louis give him a death stare. The waiter quickly looks away and takes our orders.
Mike and my mum talk with each other and I stay quiet. After about twenty minutes our food comes but I don't feel hungry. I take small bites so it at least looks like I ate something.
"So Louis, Abbey, we have some big news." Mike tells us. Oh God. Could anything possibly get worse.
I look at my mother while taking a small bite of my steak. "We're getting married." she tells Louis and I.
I choke on my food a little. "Come again?" I say in complete disbelief.
"I know this is really big news to just throw on you guys and that Abbey, you just met Mike. But the wedding is in three months." my mother says.
I take a sip of my water trying to calm myself down. "So how long have you been dating?" I ask trying to be casual.
"Almost a year." Mike says. I nearly do a spit take.
"A YEAR?!?!" Louis says, finally joining the conversation.
"How could you keep that from me, mum? We tell each other everything." I say. It hurts that she didn't even tell me she was dating, and now she just dumps it on me that she's engaged? What. The. Actual. Hell.
"I know this must be hard for you sweetie but I did this for you own good." She looks at me with sympathetic eyes.
"I don't need your pity." I spit at her.
"Honey, you need to hear me out." she begs.
"No. I'm done. I'm taking the car home. I'm sure your fiancé wouldn't mind giving you a ride." I snatch the keys of the table. I rush out of the restaurant. The air has become chilly now that the sun has set.
"Abbey!" I hear Louis call.
He is several feet behind me but I still quicken my pace. "I don't want to talk!" I yell feeling tears threatening to spill down my cheeks.
"Abbey please." Just as I reach the car, I feel his strong hand grasp my shoulder. He spins me around to face him. Before I can say anything, his lips crash into mine. I pull away, breathless. "Do I have you attention now?" he asks with a smirk on his face. I nod slowly.
"Let's get in the car, I'm freezing." I suggest. I unlock the car and Louis gets in the drivers seat. He turns the heat on immediately.
"Abbey...I don't know what's going to happen, but I can tell you this. We have three months until this horrid wedding. And even though no one can know we are together, I promise you right now that the next three months will be filled with all the love I have to give you. We can do this Abbey, I know it." He lifts my chin up to face him. Tears fall down his pink cheeks. I finally break down.
