Chapter Ninety

-Kacey's POV-

"Now that we have heard our words from Prince Kareem, now words from Princess Kacey."

Applause again and Kareem helped me from the chair. I walked towards the podium and took a breathe to study myself. Didn't want to jumble over my words.

Or worse.

Stutter.

"Hi." I said nervously while waving. They awwwwed at me as if I was a kid and I blushed. "People of Ćenàla, this is not only a beginning for me but a beginning for you as well. As a little girl as well as Kareem thought he was just a regular kid with privileges, I thought the same thing as well. But when my Mother sat me down and told me one day that I will rule this beloved country when I was thirteen I was so excited. I was thinking of such ridiculous things. Like boys only have to fall in love with me and no one else, the adults will do what I say and not the other way around, I'll have unicorns and just stuff that thirteen year old thought about. Crazy stuff yes but stuff."

Everyone laughed at me but I was being honest. I didn't have a normal life growing up. "But when I got older, my eyes begin to open up around me. Some problems happen in this country that made me realize some things. There's so many changes that I could do to make this country so much better for my people. It might be difficult, I might have some trials and tribulations but I know what I'm capable of. I know that I'm strong enough to conquer any challenge. Because I know that I have God and my family behind me. And with that I'm okay."

"Yes I know what some people say, women can't succeed without men but women can change the world also. This isn't just a men thing. Girls can run the world too."

"Looking back on some things months ago, I remember me saying that I'll never have a man to rule by my side but that's still happening because my brother doesn't count." Some people laughed and I looked at Kareem and stuck my tongue out at him.

"I'm kidding but my brother is going to be a great King. And I know that with my brother by my side, I can be a great Queen. Ćenàla I promise you that I'll do anything that'll benefit to this country. To protect my people and do what's right by you. Yes I know that I'll make some mistakes but I'm only human. But if you stick by my side, I'll do you no harm. People of Ćenàla, I promise to you that I'll be a great leader."

Everyone applauded me and I was happy with my speech. Looking up at my mom and dad, I saw my mom mouth that she was proud of me. I also saw that she was crying. Daddy gave me a thumbs up. I was beginning to cry also.

I don't want to tell my people about my condition just yet so that's why I'll just tell them when the time is right. Now it's not the time to celebrate sorrows. It's time to celebrate new beginnings.

"Now that we have heard both speeches, now for the arrival of the crowns," the herald announced. Our crowns came out on a pillow that one of the guards brought. The guard stopped next to the herald.

"Now for the crowning of Kacey Christine Martin and Kareem Christian Martin." Both Kareem and I stood in front of the herald. "Please repeat after me Kareem."

"I, your name."

"I, Kareem."

"Will honor Ćenàla and live for Ćenàla. To do what's best only for my country."

"Will honor Ćenàla and live for Ćenàla. To do what's best only for my country."

"Will you accept your responsibilities as King of Ćenàla?"

"Yes I will," Kareem said. The herald bowed to Kareem and then he moved on towards me. "I, your name."

"I, Kacey."

"Will honor Ćenàla and live for Ćenàla. To do what's best only for my country."

"Will you accept your responsibilities as Queen of Ćenàla?"

"I will," I smiled at him.

"Can I have the -"

"Sir, I'll be the one to crown my fiancée," Justin spoke from beside me in the line he stood in.

"Well he just read my mind," the herald said. The people laughed and Justin hopped out of line. The herald and Justin picked up the crowns.

"I, Lionel Williams now pronounce Kareem Christian Martin King of Ćenàla," the herald said. He placed the crown on Kareem's head and everyone clapped. He grabbed the royal rod and tapped Kareem once on each shoulder. Kareem bowed and stepped back.

"You do the honors Mr. Bieber," the herald said.

"I, Justin Bieber now pronounce Kacey Christine Martin Queen of Ćenàla," Justin said. He placed the crown on my head and everyone clapped. He also placed a kiss on my cheek and a blush rose on my cheeks.

"The Queen and King ladies and gentlemen," the herald said. Kareem and I walked forward in front of our people. I looked at mom and dad. Mother was crying and dad just smiled at me. I winked at the both of them.

It's great to be Queen. 😍
