The car pulled up to a driveway. I saw a guy. I did the unthinkable. I ran out the car, ran to the guy and hugged him. I heard a growl behind me. I started crying. " Hey, you okay?? " he asked. I shook my head no on his chest. " You need to go inside! " my mate said " No! " I yelled. I looked up at the guy. My eyes showing fearing. " Please don't make me go with him " I said " He can't stop you! You're my mate and you listen to me! " my mate said " A MATE DOESN'T CALL HIS MATE A BITCH WHEN THEY JUST MET! A MATE ALSO DOESN'T THROW HIS MATE INSIDE THE CAR! " I yelled " YOU DID WHAT TO YOUR MATE?!?!?!?!?! " the guy asked. He sound pissed off. " Come with me...um... " he said " My name is Kate " I said " Right. I'm Adam, his brother. Come with me. You'll be sleeping in my room until my father knocks some sense into his brain " Adam said.

I followed Adam inside. That's when I realized he wasn't wearing a shirt. My god he's hot. Wait what?! Can't believe I just say that! And he's not my mate! He's my mate's brother.

" Hey Adam. Who's this beautiful girl?? " a guy said " This is Kate. She's Adrian's mate " Adam said. So my mate's name is Adrian. " Wow Adrian actually found his mate? Thank god! Now he can stop messing around with the other she-wolves in our pack " the guy said. Ouch that hurt. My mate has been with other girl. " My name is Bryson. I'm Adrian's and Adam's younger brother " Bryson said. I smiled. " At least the both of you are nice to me. Unlike my so called mate " I said " What did Adrian do?? " Bryson asked " He called Kate a bitch when they just met and threw her inside his car " Adam said. Bryson eyes widen. " DAD!!! " Bryson yelled.

I was currently sitting on the bed in Adam's room. I got bored so I left Adam's room. I don't know the way around this pack house. I heard my name followed by yelling.

" I WILL REJECT KATE IF SHE IS NOT THE MATE THAT I WANT!! " I heard Adrian yell. I gasp. Next thing that happen, the door opened. In front of me was Adrian, Adam, and Bryson. " Kate " Adrian said. I didn't notice I was crying until I left my tears rolling down my cheeks. " Look what you did Adrian! You don't deserve Kate! " Bryson said
" Tonight is the Luna Ceremony Adrian. You better be on your best behavior. Come on Kate, you can stay in my room until Adrian is a better mate " Adam said. I followed
Adam to his room.

~ 5 hours later ~

I was getting ready for the Luna Ceremony but a thought crossed my mind. What if Adrian rejects me during the Luna Ceremony??

" Kate, it's time " Adam said. I sighed. I walked out of Adam's room then followed him outside.

" Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce to you my mate...Kate " Adrian said. I heard a couple of cheers and some growling. I was standing next to Adrian. I saw this she-wolf walk up the stairs. Soon she was standing in front of Adrian and I. Her eyes turned yellow, only to tell that her wolf was in control. She backed up.

What is she doing?

She shifted and lunged for Adrian.
" No! " I said and got in front of Adrian. Claws dogged into my skin. Her canines dogged into my skin.
I screamed in pain.

" Kate!! " was all I heard before everything went black...

Adrian's POV ( surprise! )
Kate was standing next to me as I introduced her to my pack as my mate. I was going to declare her as Luna when my ex got on the platform. I noticed her wolf was in control. She backed up and shifted into her wolf form. She lunged at me. " No!! " I heard Kate say. I waited for the attack but it never came. I saw that my ex was on Kate and hurting her. Kate screamed in pain as my ex clawed her and bit her.

" Kate!! " Adam and Bryson yelled as they reached the platform. I watched as my brothers ripped my ex off Kate. " Shift back now! " I said. My ex shifted. Someone handed her a towel to cover herself. " I'll have a talk with you later " I told her. " Adrian! Kate is losing blood! We need to take her to the pack doctor! " Bryson said. I looked at Kate and saw a small puddle of blood surrounding her. I picked her up and carried her to the pack doctor.

" Alpha Adrian you need to wait outside. I can't help her if you're in here being protective " Kelly, the pack doctor said. I didn't notice that I was holding Kate's hand. I sighed. I got up and left the room.

I sat in a chair. My brothers came over to me. " Why? " I asked " Why what? " Bryson asked " Why did Kate take the attack for me? I've been nothing but an asshole to her ever since I walked into her pack territory and brought her here " I said " Maybe you don't believe it...but you are Kate's mate and she cares about you. You need to start showing that you care about Kate before you slowly break her heart...or reject her " Adam said " Reject her?! But I... " I said " Adrian, you said that you'll reject her if she isn't the mate you wanted " Bryson said. Deep down I knew that I couldn't reject her.

It's been 30 minutes and I'm itching to see Kate and make sure she's okay.

" Alpha Adrian, you can go in and see her " Kelly said. I got up and walked inside...
