Genre: Fluff, Some Angst
The calming pitter-patter of rain on the coffee shop window accompanied with the whirring of the espresso machines gave you a slight ease of mind. You always came to the coffee shop to calm yourself, the atmosphere was always relaxing to you and right now you needed it more than ever. The anger that resided in you was soothed from the coffee shop. You tried not to think about the events that just occurred an hour ago.
One Hour Earlier
The entire car ride to your house you had an uneasy feeling that settled in your stomach. Brushing it aside as nervousness, you clutched the two plane tickets to Hawaii in your hand. Today was the three year anniversary of your relationship with your boyfriend. You had planned a surprise trip to Hawaii as a present for the special day. You went all out to ensure that you two had the best week of your life, booking fire shows, spa days, scuba diving sessions, and much more. Placing the plane tickets in a small present box, you happily sighed as you imagined his face once he opened the box. As you parked and exited your car, there was that slight uneasy feeling again that you once again ignored. Reaching into your bag, you grabbed your keys to unlock the door to your apartment. The uneasy feeling returned to you once more when you opened the door and was met with a citrus scented perfume. You only wore floral perfumes. You tried your best to keep quiet as you ventured deeper into the house. You had to stifle a gasp as you saw woman's clothes, which did not belong to you, littering the floor of the apartment you had shared with your boyfriend. Your now trembling hands clutched the gift box tighter as you tried your best not to assume the worst.
That task, however, quickly failed as you heard the moans of another woman coming from the direction of your shared bedroom. Tears were now pricking your eyes as you scurried to the cracked doorway of the bedroom. Part of you knew you shouldn't look, that it was already apparent what was going on, but another part of you needed the closure. Before you could turn back, your body had reacted before your mind and you shoved the door open, tears running hot down your cheeks at the sight before you. You tore your eyes away quickly as you heard the shuffling of bodies and one of them coming closer to you. You broke down on your knees, sobbing into your hands that still clutched the now meaningless gift. "Y/N..." You heard your boyfriend say as he placed a hand on your shoulder. As soon as he placed his hand on you, you jerked away, your once sad tears being quickly replaced by angry ones.
"DON'T YOU FUCKING TOUCH ME!" You yell as you stand quickly to face him. The girl he was cheating on you with was merely a useless thought in your mind as you directed all your anger towards him. He tried to open his mouth to apologize, which only fueled your fire. "Do you think apologizing is going to help? No really, do you?" You shoved him back as you stare daggers at him. "Y/N, I can explain I... I promis..."
"Don't promise me anything. Your promises obviously don't mean fucking anything." You spit at him, pointing at the girl who is hiding herself behind your sheets, a cocky smirk evident on her lips. "You promised you would stay loyal to me, yet here you are, cheating on me with your little plaything. You know what?! Get out, both of you" You say, shoving him once again into the wall before turning around to send a deadly look at the girl in your bed.
"Y/N, please, jus... let me explai..." He stutters out and you wipe away angry tears as your frustration reaches an all-time high "Oh, and by the way, happy anniversary you asshole. Yeah, you forgot about that didn't you." You pause a bit, but he has nothing to say, so you continue. "Speechless are we? Yeah, I thought so, what kind of drugs was I on to date a fucking coward like you for 3 DAMN YEARS?! I can't handle this anymore, just get the fuck out of my house." At that, your now ex boyfriend scurries out of the room, reaching for his scattered clothes along the way. The girl that was once in your bed stands up slowly to waltz out of the room, clad only in your sheets. When she passes you, she gives you a snide smirk and an obnoxious hair flip that you scoff loudly at before she is grabbing her clothes as well. Once they both leave, you're left with the silence of your apartment, the sheets you now make a note to burn, and a long forgotten anniversary present still clutched in your hand.
