Homecoming Dance part 1

~At School~

I was packing my stuff getting out of my locker. I wanted to get home so we could all meet at Sophia's to get ready for the dance. As I was walking out the locker wing I ran into someone " Hey watch where your going." I said, then I looked up and saw his mesmerizing green eyes. I stumbled back a little then stuttered "H-Harry I'm s-sorry." This was an uncomfortable moment for me. "It's ok. Accidents happen right?" He said his voice sounding so smooth. "Yea. Uh well I gotta.." was all I could say before he asked "Hey um do you maybe wanna go to the homecoming dance with me tonight?" I froze, I admit now he is hot but I can't risk falling for him. But you know maybe I don't feel that way at all, maybe we could just go out and I won't fall. "Sure" I said trying to act as casual as possible. But inside I was yelling at myself. Are you stupid? Do you really want to fall for someone? Just to get hurt? But other pastr of my were jumping up and down like a little girl. "Well, I gotta go but I'll see you tonight. Pick you up around 6?" He said getting ready to leave. "Well I will just meet you here. The girls and I are all going to Soph's to get ready then were driving from there." I said walking away. I can't believe I'm doing this I thought to myself walking out of the school.

 

~ At Sophia's House~

"Soph are you done yet? Some of us have to get makeup on!" Perrie yelled through the bathroom door. Sophia was taking as shower at the time and she was taking forever. "DONE!" she yelled back walking out of the bathroom in a sports bra and spandex. We grabbed the rest of the makeup and got out our dresses.  We were all wearing doing our makeup first so it didn't get on the dresses. As we finished our make up and started putting on our dresses Krystin said "I hope Niall kisses me tonight." Perrie and Eleanor both said "YOU HAVEN'T KISSED YET?" Krystin smiled sheepishly and replied "Nope, not yet but I hope we will tonight." Then Sophia said " Oh Claire don't you wish you had a boyfriend?" I could tell she was just messing around with me. " Um actually I'm meeting someone at the dance." They all looked at each other and said "WHO?!?!?" I siled and said "Oh no one really, just Harry." They all start screaming and hugging me. Then Sophia's mom told us told quite down. It was silent for a while and then Perrie blurts out " Zayn and I are doing it tonight." We all looked at each other with worried eyes. "Wait you mean  you're gonna lose your virginity?" I asked. I definetly don't want her to be pregnant at 18. "Yes we are. We going to a hotel" She replied in almost a whisper. "PERRIE LOUISE EDWARDS!" Eleanor yelled at her " What if you get PREGNANT? What if your parents find out? What if he has AIDS?" As soon as she said that Sophia's mom came in and said "What about being pregnant and having aids?!?!" She had worried look on her face. We were silent as we looked at each other and then Sophia spoke up "Mom no one is pregnant or has aids. Were talking about That new show on T.V." She looked at her supisciously and said "What show?" We looked at each other again then I said "We don't remember the title but we know it's about pregnant teenagers with aids." The lie was bad but what else do you want you want me to say? She didn't look convinced but she said "Ok" and walked out slowly. Were all turned to face Perrie again. She looked at us and said. " He's using protection, My parents think I'll be at Eleanor's and No he doesn't have aids. " We all looked at her still. "I don't know if I'm comfortable with lying to your mom. What if she comes by my house and your not there? What if she  calls?" El said scaredly. "She wont her and my dad are going out tonight so I think she will be to busy with that." She replied. I looked at the time and saw it was 6:00. "You guys we have a hour until it starts! We have to hurry up!!" I yelled. We all did our hair : Krystin french braided hers sideways. Sophia straightened then curled hers at the ends. Eleanor just curled hers, Perrie braided hers then pu it in a ballerina bun and I tied mine with my hair into a ponytail and then curled the ponytail. We checked ourselfs out and fixed whatever needed to be. Then we got into Sophia's car and drove to the dance.

 

~at the dance~ As we purchased our tickets I could here the faint beat of the music from the other side of the gymnasium doors. When we walked in the gym the song became clearer and I realized it was my favorite song : Airplanes by B.O.B and Haley Williams. "Hey, where are the boys?" Krystin asked "I don't know. Here I'll text Zayn" Perrie said but as soon as she pulled out her phone Zayn and Louis walked up. "Hey you guys!" Louis said cheerifully. He look Eleanor up and down then said "Elle, you look beautiful." Then he kissed her cheek and Eleanor replied " And your looking quite handsome yourself." We all walked over to where the boys were sitting and as soon as Niall saw Krystin he walked up and hugged her then kissed her cheek. But I saw Harry was also sitting by them. "Well don't you look sexy tonight." He said with a smirk on his face. It marveled me how sometimes he would act like the sweetest boy on Earth and other times he was the worlds biggest player. "Same to you." I replied dully. His remarking urking me on more than it should've. It just made me mad he had to act like this around other people. "Well do you wanna dance?" He asked me "I don't see why not. This is the reason you come to these things." I replied walking out to the dance floor. 'Crap' I thought to myself. A slow song just what we needed. But I realized it was 'Skycraper' By Demi Lovato. He put his large hands around my waist and I put my small ones on his shoulders. I leaned my head against his shoulder. We danced in complete silence. But it was a comfortable one. It seemed..... right like it was supposed to be like this.         

"Why do you act like such a player round our friends?" I asked as Harry as the song ended. He looked at me his green eyes looked so calm and at peace. "Well, uh, I can't answer that now." He looked away. How could he just not answer my question? I let go of him removed his hands from my hips and walked away. I heard his foot steps coming up behind me so I went into the girls bathroom. I looked in the mirror and my hair started frizzing a little and my makeup was smearing. I pulled out my hair spray and sprayed down the frizz. I wiped up the makeup smears and walked out. The first thing I saw was Niall and Krystin were kissing! I had to almost bit my hand to withstand the yelp I wanted to realease. I simply walked away to keep from staring. I walked back to our table and saw Perrie getting up to leave. I walked towards her and said "Leaving so soon?" Zayn walked up behind and kissed her neck and giving her, her jacket. "Yea we have a busy night planned." Zayn said as Perrie winked at me. "Uh are you guys sure you want to do this? I mean you're 19 it can wait a little longer right?" I said with worried eyes looking to Perrie. "Were positive. It will be ok, Claire I promise." Perrie said giving me a reassuring smile. It didn't have much a effect. Perrie andi hugged then Zayn kissed my cheek as they left. I was worried for my friend. I didn't want her to make a mistake.
