Chapter 5

I'm back please don't kill me well after I took a short (SHORT?! ), well not so short, 'vacation' of writing -Actually I had  exams- and now I'm back updating.

Chapter 5 -Secrets

The next day came soon, too soon if you ask me, kids should not go to school, everything we "learn" is on the internet. But anyhow, what can I do.

"See you after I come back?" I asked to Niall who was half-asleep in his bed.

I kind of hate you now, you can sleep how much you want, and I don't, same with the rest.

He kind of nodded in between his sleep, and moaned what sounded like a "yes". I giggled a little and then left the house.

Paul was outside in the van, I got inside and greeted him.

"Are they sleeping" He asked as he drove to the school.

"Yeah, lucky them" I replied rolling my eyes at the thought.

Paul chuckled and gave me a smile.

"It's hard to wake them up, specially in the morning" Paul informed me

"Tell me" I whispered.

The ride became short, and before I noticed, I was in the entrance of the school.

"Hey, I have to do something later, do you know how to go home?" Paul asked and I nodded "Okay, Louis should be in the house when you get there".

I thank Paul, and started walking to the entrance.

"Look who it is, Mrs. I'm-Daughter-Of-One-Direction." I turned around and saw that blonde girl with a bunch of other girls hanging out beside the flagpole.

I sighed and responded "What" in a dry voice, please don't make me start my day with the wrong foot.

"I see you didn't kill yourself" She said walking towards me.

"Bitch please, why should I?" I responded, I could feel how my blood was starting to boil.

Control yourself

"Sorry what did you just called me?" She asked and some of her friends jaws dropped to the floor.

"I said, Bitch.Please." I replied as slowly I could.

"Hey nobody calls me a bitch, specially a piece of sh-" She was already starting to walk towards me and she was raising her fist, when she was interrupted by Mason.

"Valerie stop" He appeared out of nowhere and this girl's punch was lowering. Now she was facing Mason.

"Now what you want scumbag" This girl "Valerie" said

"Leave her alone" Mason said now standing in front of me

"Or what" said the girl who now I want to punch on the face.  "Fag"

Mason stood there, almost frozen, like if he was about to shout at her -which wasn't a bad idea- or do something, but all he said was: "Just leave her alone".

Valerie and her little group laughed at his statement, abd Mason walked away towards the school.

"Mason, wait" I said but he acted like he didn't heard me. I turned my head at Valerie, now I was frowning and I glared at her and mouthed: 'Happy?'

I started running towards Mason, but halfway there she shouted: "Hey Skylar!" I turned and she shouted again: "Yes!" I rolled my eyes and continued running.

Soon as I entered, I lost sight of Mason. I walked through the hallways, looking for my Beiber-headed friend but not sight of him.

After a few minutes the bell rang, everyone entered the classrooms, so I thought that he might be already in Science class so I headed towards the room.

For my surprise, he didn't appear in any place, not even on Music, and it's his favorite class, so I started to worry -even more- so I dedicated my lunch time to look for him.

I asked Toby -a friend from English- to see if he was in the bathroom, but when he camed back, he shook his head and walked away.

I walked to the Music classroom to see if he was there. But as I passed through the Janitor's Room, I heard sobbings, and whispers inside, so I opened the door.

Mason was sitting on the floor with his head on his kneels, sobbing.

"Mason" I whispered and he raised his head, his eyes were red, and he look like if someone sucked up all the happiness from him -Reference to the dementors, seriously that girl is like one of them-.

"Why does people bully me" He asked and I looked back, no one was there so I entered and closed the door.

I sat down next to Mason, and said: " People are just jealous"

"Yeah but, everytime and everyday people call me names, and push me and everything" He said and my heart sank, Jesus, I can't stand this, why would someone bother him, he's so cute and a very good friend.

I bit my lip from my thoughts.

Just leave him.

If you do it you'll be a bad friend.

Come on Skylar just thinks on herself.

Don't be a narcissist.

Good side beats bad one, Sky,  you just won five steps towards Heavens.

"Just ignore them" I said and unconsciously I gave him a kiss on the cheek, and his face was wet from crying.

I looked to the other side, because my face was red like a tomato, and when I look back at him his eyes were wide open and his face was burning red.

"Y-you j-just k-k-kiss m-me?" He shouted in a very low tone.

"Yes, but just for you to know that somebody cares for you." He smiled and then I gave him a playful punch on the shoulder. "But that doesen't makes me softer okay" I smiled back at Mason, who  was rubbing his shoulder.

I stood up and stretched my hand.

"Let's go to eat, I'm starving" I said and he took my hand, I opened the door and we walked to the cafeteria.

As we walked inside, the room felt into a deep silence, everybody was staring at us, incluiding the cookers.

And soon after I walked inside, Jake, who was sitting next to Valerie, said: "Look who it is, Mr. and Mrs. Watson"

I looked at Mason who looked back at me, and his eyes were about to pop out of his face.

Then I looked at Valerie who mouthed: 'Why keeping secrets?".
