Sean's POV

The girl-er-Elizabeth collapsed in a sobbing mess, clutching onto the phone as if her life depended on it.

"I had no idea that Marcus would be into a girl like you, Ms. Elizabeth...no offense."

Her emerald eyes shots up.

"You know him? You know Marcus?"

"You could say that."

She sprung up and clutched the corners of my shirt, pulling me down to meet her eyes.

"You have to help me find her please I'm begging you. I'll do anything please."

I gently pried her hands off of my shirt. Damn...I just got this yesterday. I waved for one of my bodyguards...like I needed any...

"Contact Mr. Valenchino. Tell him to meet me with Ms. Lea at the Rose Hotel in suite number 927 in an hour. He knows what shall happen if he fails to appear with the girl."

"Yes sir."

I felt a pair of eyes stare at me and I looked down to meet them.

"Thank you so much sir...and I still don't know your name. This is rather embarrassing..."

"...Just call me Alex."

Her emerald eyes twinkled as she smiled.

"Alex...defender of the people. It suits you," she chuckled.

I gave her a confused expression and she giggled while twiddling with her fingers.

"I love to study the origins of names...it tells me so much about a person. However, the name Sean suits you so much better. God's gracious. Now I'm no Christian Mr. Alex but as of the now, he who is above has certainly blessed me with what is indeed quite gracious."

I smiled and in that exact moment, the coffee stains on my shirt didn't really seem to matter anymore. I waved at one of my bodyguards and signaled him to go next door and buy the poor girl an outfit. Within minutes, he was back with a bag in his hand. I gave it to Elizabeth, who shot me a weird look.

"Consider it a greeting gift."

Minutes later, she walked out of the restroom and my breath got caught in my throat.
