We got a cab to my apartment and ran in, considering we only had 1 hour to decide what to take, pack, and get back to the hotel. I grabbed my favorite clothes, since I could only take so much, why not take the best I had? I took them out of the dresser, Denis folded them and put them in my suitcase, and we were finished with packing clothes in half an hour. I sat down on my bed, and he plopped down next to me. I couldn't help but look at him, his eyes were hypnotic, but I was more focused on his lips. I felt my cheeks burn, and out of embarrassment I looked down a bit, but Denis touched my chin to bring my face back up. I felt his arms wrap around me, and impulsively I wrapped mine around him. I studied his face for a moment, he looked so, pure, and angelic, and innocent. I pulled him a bit closer, and we both leaned in a bit, and he kissed me, just like an angel would.
"W-wow." I said. It was all I could say. The way he kissed, the way he held me, the way he made me feel. I had never felt like that before, like my heart could burst. Denis smiled, his smile was so beautiful I cannot put it in words, nothing goes far enough, but otherworldly comes close.
"What else should you pack?" Denis asked, after a few long, awkward moments.
"Well I can put my makeup and other girly shit on my purse." I said jokingly. He smirked and put his arm around me. I rested my head in his shoulder as he stroked my hair. He made me feel safe and protected.
"What about that guitar over there?" He said pointing to my black acoustic guitar.
"You think I could? I mean, it wouldn't be too much trouble?" I asked nervously.
"Of course not. Why don't you play something on it?" I blushed and nodded shyly. I walked over to it and picked it up. I felt magnetically pulled to sit back down next to Denis.
"What should I play?" I asked.
"Whatever you want." He replied sweetly. I grinned like an idiot. I couldn't help it. He made me happy, or giddy anyway. He said whatever I wanted, so I plucked the first few strings of "Roger Rabbit" by Sleeping With Sirens. I think Denis's ears perked up, but I couldn't tell through all that hair. I was a bit surprised when he started singing the lyrics. His voice was so, entrancing. It all felt like a dream, a dream that ended too soon. I guess some songs just aren't long enough.
"Oh shit, we gotta hurry up. Tour manager is chewing my ass." Denis said all of a sudden after checking his phone.
"Appetizing." I said sarcastically. He laughed. God, I loved his laugh. I frantically grabbed my phone, iPod, tablet, and laptop.
"What do you need those for?" Denis questioned.
"I was thinking I might get some good pictures being on tour, might be able to sell them to Kerrang."
"Smart. I'll grab your chargers." He stated sweetly.
He thinks I'm smart?
We put the chargers and electronics in my suitcase and I grabbed my digital camera and put it in my duffel bag. I tossed in 5 empty SD cards. Who knew how many pictures I would get. Once everything was packed up Denis called a cab, and we just kind of cuddled up on my couch while I called my big brother to take care of the place. I heard knocking and it took some pushing to get Denis to let go of me.
Cute.
It was my brother, to collect the keys. Reluctantly I placed them in his hand I specifically said
"No booze, no bongs, no bashes. I'm but losing my lease because you decided to light up." He rolled his eyes and huffed as he said
"Fine." Then Denis stepped up to the doorway and said
"You better do what she says it I'll kick your ass."
"Sir, yes sir!" My brother said as he saluted. Then the taxi pulled up and Denis grabbed my bags. I tried to get him to let me carry them, but he insisted on being a gentleman. He opened the taxi door for me, and held my hand as I stepped in. Then he climbed in the other side. As we drove I stated
"You can drop this chivalric knight in shining armor act." I half expected him to say "What act?" But instead he was sarcastic and made me laugh by saying
"Thank God!" I playfully smacked his arm, and he rubbed it and replied with "Ow, bitch!" as he smiled.
"Thank you!" I say sarcastically. We just continued to make each other crack up the entire ride back to the hotel, and we approached the busses.
I got nervous as we walked up because the tour manager walked up to us.
"Denis, what is this?"
"She is a photographer and she will be snapping pictures of the band on tour for Kerrang! Magazine." Denis replied.
"We don't have any available bunks, Denis." The tour manager retorted.
I felt Denis put his arm around my shoulders as he said
"She'll bunk with me."
Woah, what just happened? Did he really say....Wow, I can't believe I said that. I still can't believe that I'm bringing such a beautiful girl with me on tour. I hope she thinks of me as more than just a friend though. I certainly do. Either way things won't be so lonely anymore.....
