Chapter 2

Blades POV

It was dark in my room when I woke up. I checked my phone and it was 10:00 am. I immediately shot up because I knew that when I slept this late my mom would beat me.

I got up from my bed and got dressed as quickly as I could. But then I remembered, today my mom had work. I felt so relived. Then I remembered that tomorrow I leave this hell for good.

Although I will definitely miss Damon it's the best thing for me, and I need to  do what's good for me. Maybe I'll meet someone special in California, you never know. But what I do know is that I'll be happy.

I was lost in thought when my text tone on my phone went off. It was from Damon. I totally forgot that I'm gonna hang out with him today.

D: Hey do you want to meet up at the hideout?

B: Sure I'll be there in a half hour see you soon

D: Ok bye!

B: Bye😊

I had a half hour to shower, get dressed, do my hair, and do my makeup. I could get that done. I got a Motionless In White shirt and dark purple ripped skinny jeans. Of course I also got a bra and panties, then I went to the bathroom to shower.

Time Skip

Once I got out of the shower I grabbed a towel and started to dry up in the bathroom. When I was dry enough I put my clothes on. I brushed out my wet black and blonde hair then started to dry it with the blow dryer. While I was drying my hair I plugged in the hair straightener to preheat. I straightened my hair and put hairspray in it. I then did my makeup applying foundation, concealer, eyeliner, mascara, and eye shadow. I then left the bathroom and got my phone and wallet then left the house, locking the door behind me.

Another Time Skip

I made it to the hide out and saw Damon was already there. He always got there before me.

"Hey Damon", I said.

"Hey, are you ready to hang out one last time before you leave?", he said sounding sad.

"Yes and I'll come back and visit with you so this won't be the last time we hang out, I promise"

"Okay now lets go have a fun day, there's a carnival in town."

"Yay I love carnivals"

Damon smiled at me and gestured his hand at me to follow him. We were leaving the woods when my stomach growled and I remembered that I didn't have breakfast.

"Um Damon, I didn't have breakfast and I'm hungry."

"Same, lets go to Denny's."

"Sounds good"

When we got to Denny's we were seated immediately and ordered our drinks. When the waitress came back we ordered and got our food ten minutes later. We ate, Damon insisted that he payed and after a little argument I gave in. He payed and we left to go to the carnival. We walked in the entrance and Damon pulled me to the dart throwing game. We both agreed not to go on any rides until we digest because neither of us wanted to puke. He won me a stuffed panda at that game. I thanked him and we both decided to go on rides now. We went on a small roller coaster just to brace ourselves. After that we went on the biggest roller coaster there with giant drops and loops. We sat together and screamed the whole time.

"That was awesome", Damon said.

"Yeah but I was scared shitless"

Damon and I both laughed then went on to the giant swings. After that we went to the haunted mansion thing. One thing popped out and scared me but that was it. We were both hungry after that so we got hot dogs. Then we went to play some more games while also getting cotton candy because no carnival is complete without cotton candy. I won him 2 stuffed animals and he won me two more as well. We went on a couple more rides then left. We got Starbucks and went back to the hideout.

"This was a great day thanks so much Damon"

"No problem, your my best friend I would do anything for you."

"Same with me, I'm gonna miss you so much."

When I said that I realized how much I will miss him and I let a tear fall.

"Hey, it's okay we'll see each other again soon and I know that we'll at least text everyday."

"I know but it's not the same your my best friend and I need to see you in person."

"Damn we sound like a long distance couple."

That made me giggle. "Yeah we do, baby."

"Oh shut up."

We kept talking for another 2 hours. We didn't talk about anything in particular, just about random thing's. It was now 7:00 pm and we were getting hungry. So we went to Taco Bell. after Taco Bell we took a walk in the park. Then we sat under our favorite tree and continued talking. It was now 9:00 pm and my mo was probably passed out on the couch by now so I could go home and sleep.

"Damon, I hate to say this but I need to get home I have to get up really early tomorrow."

"Okay make sure to text me on the plane."

"I promise I will."

"Great, I'm gonna miss you so much bye."

"Bye Damon, remember that I'm always thinking of you even when we're not texting."

"Same, I can't wait till you come back, now go home and get to sleep."

"Okay, love you Damon, in the best friend way."

"I love you too Blade, in the best friend way."

We hugged and I kissed Damon on the cheek, then I walked home. I realized when I was half way home that I was crying. I'm leaving my hometown and my best friend but it's what's best for me and I'm happy, and I know that Damon is happy for me too.

Time Skip

I got to my house and put my ear to the door to make sure that my mom wasn't awake. I heard nothing but a little snoring so I opened the front door quietly and saw my mom passed out on the couch. I closed the door quietly and made my way quietly upstairs. I got out of my clothes and took a hot shower.

After the shower I dried up and got into m Batman pajamas. I texted Damon good night and fell happily asleep knowing that tomorrow starts a new life for me.
