"I gotta be honest T," Michael says distantly. "I'm really fucking scared." Doctors and nurses passed us in the hospital hall.

"Don't be," I shrug. "You've had two already. It's no different."

Michael looks at me shockingly. "It's very fucking different, Trevor! This ain't my wife in that room waiting for me!"

"Can you calm the fuck down? You're so fucking lucky that Amanda had it in her rotten heart to forgive you for your fucking dumb ass, stop complaining."

Michael frowns at me. He opens his mouth to argue, but a nurse pokes her head into the hall. "She is crowning, please come in." Michael looks back at me and then shakes his head.

"Good luck, Michael." I say before he disappears into the hospital room where a nine month pregnant Isabel laid with her parents.

After a few minutes, Amanda returned from the food court with Tracey and Jimmy at her side. "Where's Michael?" She asked me with sadness in her eyes. I knew she was still very much hurt.

Jimmy and Tracey were standing by her side with conflicted expressions. They didn't know wether to be excited for Michael or hurt for Amanda.

"He's in there with her, she is crowning, whatever that means." I say and shift in my chair.

Amanda nods and sits in the chair beside me with Jimmy and Tracey following. I think the only thing we both agreed on was the fact that Michael was stupid.

Jimmy played on his GameBoy noisily and Amanda told him to turn the volume down. "But I don't want to."

"There's a lot of things I don't want James. Do it." She says, but she sounds tired. Emotionally drained. I felt sorry for Amanda.

I dozed off in the chair for I'm not sure how long, only when I heard Michael beckoning for me to come in I stood wide awake. My boots thudded on the floor as I walked across the tile and into the room. Isabel's parents watched me with cautious eyes as I did.

"We're gonna head down to the food court," the older man says and escorted his wife out of the room.

"Okay," Michael replies.

I ignored them and focused my eyes on the brand new baby in the room in Michael's arms. Isabel had fallen asleep on the bed and she looked very different without her makeup and lingerie. She looked younger and like a normal girl.
