I pulled up my hood and tucked my tail in my pants, quite uncomfortably I might add, as I started walking to school. I arrived at the horrendous pink building, and wanted nothing more than to leave, but one does not become an engineer by skipping school. I sighed as I walked into class 1-A. I was being watched by a pair of twins with ginger hair. I just sighed. I wish I could have friends but not EVERYONE is a cat person. I barely make it through class without falling asleep. I head to lunch and sit with my sketchbook and start eating my tuna sandwich. I feel a presence looming over me. "That's a really good drawing" I turn around to see the twins from earlier. "I'm Kaoru!" The one on the right smiled. "I'm Hikaru!" He also smiled. "And we're the Hitachiin twins!" They exclaimed in unison. "Kiyoko Yumi." I mumbled as I tried to walk away. They grabbed me and dragged me to Music Room #3. I just sighed. I don't think this is going to end well. "Welcome!" Voices said in unison as I was dragged into a blinding light and fluttering rose petals. "Well, well, well...who do we have here?" A tall blonde man asked taking my hand. I jerked it away. "I'm Kiyoko Yumi." I mumbled again as I tried to leave. "I'm leaving now." I was once again pulled back by the twins. "Where do you think YOU'RE going?" I sigh, "Away from here." I grumbled as I once again tried to leave. "Wait!" I felt a hand grab my hood. NO NO NO! WHY COULDN'T I JUST LEAVE! They all stared at me as I just stood there, my ears now perfectly visible. "Are you...a cat?" The tall blonde asked as his eyes widen. I just ran. "Kiyoko wait!" I heard the twins yell. I was crying by that point. I found myself in a gazebo covered in roses. I just curled up and cried. "Kiyoko?" I looked up to see the twins once again staring at me. "What do YOU want? Now that you know aren't you horrified? I'M A CAT PERSON! I just wanted to leave and you just kept pushing!" I continued sobbing and I felt myself being lifted up. "Put me down!" I yelled trying to struggle out of their grasp. I realized they were too strong. I just cried myself to sleep.
When I awoke I saw one of the twins in front of me. "You purr in your sleep, it's adorable." I jumped up and hid behind the couch. "I think you scared her Hikaru" I heard the other twin say. Okay so that one is Kaoru and this one is Hikaru. I had their scents distinguished. I smelt cake. I began making my way towards the door. I can't resist cake so I had better go. "Why on earth do you keep trying to leave?" Kaoru asked as he set me back on the couch I just curled into a ball and started crying. "Great! You two shady twins have made her cry! There, there. Daddy is here." The tall blonde whispered in my ear as he hugged me. I blinked and ran to the corner, continuing to cry. This place is scary! These people are crazy! I held onto my tail in fright. "Aww she has a tail and ears! She really is like a cute little kitten!" "Cut it out Tamaki! Now YOU scared her!" Kaoru yelled. A tall man with black hair and glasses with deep gray eyes spoke up, "Not to mention her parents are famous. Grace Yumi is a famous model, and Jonathon Yumi is a professional businessman. Our families are currently doing business." I stared at him and cried harder. "She is Kiyoko Yumi, she is an arts prodigy and is VERY shy. She also happens to be part cat. She would be an excellent addition to the club. "I-I don't wanna join a club! I'd have to talk to people!" I started sobbing even harder. I can't deal with people. "Hello Kiyoko. I'm Haruhi. Ignore the boys, they're crazy." She smiled at me. "Thank you miss Haruhi. I'm glad to know you're nice" I whispered shrinking down and toying with my tail. "Well, I personally think you being a cat will draw in more customers. I know you might think some people will dislike you because of it, but there will always be people like that in life. Just know that we'll be here to stand up for you." "R-really?" I whispered looking at the ground. "Mhm. We'd like you to join our group and be our friend!" She smiled and I felt slightly less afraid. "O-ok, I'll do it, but only if you guys help me tell everybody I'm a kitty..." I trailed off. They nodded.
I was suddenly attacked in a hug by a small blonde boy with big brown eyes. I jumped out of his arms and back into the corner sobbing. "I'm sorry Kiyo-Chan! I didn't mean to scare you." He said. tears pricking in his eyes."I-it's okay, I guess you could say I'm a frady cat. Heh-" I laughed awkwardly. The others laughed whole-heartedly at my joke. I smiled and stood up. "Well, it seems our guests have arrived." I looked up to see a LOT of girls staring at me. "H-hi." I whispered looking at the ground. "Ladies, this is Kiyoko. She is our newest host, and no that is not cosplay, she is part cat. I expect you all to treat her with kindness and respect. Thank you." Tamaki led me over to a table where a few girls were gathered. "Ladies this is Kiyoko, she is very shy, so please be careful." He bowed and then left to tend to his own guests. "H-hi ladies. Thank you for requesting me. Sorry if I'm not loud, I'm j-just a little shy." They blushed. "It's okay Kiyoko. We wanna know everything about what being a cat is like! Is it hard?" One of the girls asked. I was surprised they were so excited to meet me. "W-well, I don't hate water, I actually love it, that's just a myth. The reason pets don't like baths is that, w-well how would YOU feel if you were forced into water and rubbed with an unknown substance." I whispered as I held my tail. Stop rambling or they'll leave. I sighed. "Well that makes perfect sense to me!" A girl on the right said. The others nodded. I smiled. "Y-you really think so?" They nodded again. "O-okay, then I'll t-tell you more." They all leaned in as I proceeded to tell them about my life. Maybe being a host isn't so bad. I thought as I looked at all my new friends. I had become the shy type.
