Just a heads up; the X-ray they'll be using is like the one Agent Ward used in the Pilot of AOS when he was in France.

And this chapter is dedicated to @FourtyNineEightyGirl.... She is a very awesome person as far as I can tell. I really had fun chat-messaging her :D

(Chapter Nineteen: A Hawk Teaches Me to Shoot an Arrow)

I wake up without even realizing I've fallen asleep. The lights are dim in whichever room I'm in, hopefully, in an infirmary. My arms start to feel cold as if they are naked but that can't be because my suit covers up almost my entire body. But still, my head automatically turns to see if my arms are exposed, and they are. And there’s a cotton ball taped on the side of my arm. Good thing I'm wearing a T-shirt underneath.

But I'm still pissed off.

I sit up very rapidly and I start to feel dizzy, making my hand touch my head.

"I think it's best if you lie down," says a female voice.

I look around and find Agent Hatfield sitting on a chair by a table. I soon realize I'm back at my room.

I carefully lay my head back down to my pillow and turn my head to my right side. Agent Hatfield is smiling soothingly at me but that doesn't keep me from being pissed off.

"Who removed my suit?" I ask quietly, keeping my temper low. Well, they didn't exactly remove the whole suit. They just unzipped the top part and tied the sleeves around my waist. But I am still pissed.

She stands up and walks towards me. She stops a few feet away and wraps her hands on the metal railings of the bed.

"The medics did," she replies. "They have to access your arms so you can be healed."

Well, duh. Try healing my arms with my suit on. I get sarcastic when I'm mad. "Where are they? Are they done healing me?”

She nods.  “Yes. They are just getting the results of your X-ray. Just don’t move your arms too much so the injectable calcium-carbonated cyclobenzaprine will take effect quickly.”

“I thought cyclobenzaprine are only taken in tablets?”

“Well, Dr. Banner has managed to make an injectable one for you, by the orders of Director Fury.”

Fury? I guess he had Dr. Banner make an injectable one with poison. Well, that’s what he wants, right? To get rid of me so he can have the Blue? I just know it.

But maybe I'm just being stupid. He won't put any poison. He gave me medicine so I would be better. Why do I have to think badly?

He's doing this because he knows I'll give the Blue to him if he treats me right, and I will. Just not now. I'll give it to him after all of this is done.

Agent Hatfield’s tablet on the table emits a ‘ding’ sound and it got both of our attention. She takes it and taps on it as she sits back down on the chair. I really couldn’t see what’s in it because she only left the back of it visible to me.

I just stare at the ceiling as I wait for her to say something.

“I’m broke but I’m happy,” I begin singing softly, softly that I’m the only one who can hear it. “I’m poor but I’m kind. I’m short but I’m healthy, yeah. I’m high but I’m grounded. I’m sane but I’m overwhelmed. I’m lost but I’m hopeful, baby.”
