(Chapter Twenty: Having Fun with the Mechanic)
Supposedly, I am to be resting, even if it's only for thirty minutes. But I don't feel tired or sleepy. I guess I feel a bit more determined or whatever? I don't know. I didn't drink any coffee or any type of caffeine for this day. Heck, I didn't even take any type of caffeine for the past week. Maybe, it's a side effect of the cyclobenzaprine they injected me.
Due to being bored in my room (I even get bored playing with my iPod), I decided to take a stroll out in the hallways. It's not really my type of thing, walking around, wandering about in an unfamiliar place. But, it won't kill to change old habits.
"Hey, kid." A voice from behind makes me stop walking on the corridor and turn around. I find Tony Stark walking out of a room and make his way to me. And there's this small circular light on his chest.
"Oh, Mr. Stark," I answer.
He stops a few feet away from me and crosses his arms, "So, I'm actually gonna be training you for your flight lesson thingy and it's only gonna be for two hours but I hated the idea."
"So?" I ask with eyebrows raised.
"So, I talked to Fury about that and now, you'll have the next three hours with me."
Something within me just lights up and I have a huge grin on my face. "So, if I'm gonna have my flight lesson with you, does that mean I get to wear one of your high tech armors?" Imaginary heavenly music at the background.
"Uh, no." He shakes his head and my smile turns into a frown. "But, you get to have some stuff made by the awesome, Tony Stark."
"No freaking way?" I could jump like the happiest girl in the world. Is he for real? He's seriously going to give me some stuff that he made? Gosh! I honestly admire his work very, very much but I'd never thought nor expected he'd give me stuff that he made with his bare hands, much less to meet him and the others. This is seriously one crazy event of my life.
"Uh, yes freaking way," I can sense the excitement in his voice but he was calm.
That giddy feeling runs throughout my system making me jump in joy complete with my hands folded by my chin. Then, I squeal once.
"Unfortunately," he says, bringing my spirits slightly down, "I haven't made them yet."
I honestly feel sad about that but I could wait. "It's fine." I throw my hand once, like swapping a fly away. "It's not like I'm going to die or it's gonna be the end of the world."
"Another surprise for you is that you get to build those with me.
My jaw drops widely and I begin to shake in excitement. My eyes widen and with my mouth open, I manage to smile. "Holy. Roman. Empire."

"So, what does this have to do with my flight lesson?" I ask as I tighten the bolt on the board with a power drill. We're in a room full of computers and working tools, which is pretty much blowing my mind. All this technology makes me want to jump around. But, I'm a bit annoyed with Mr. Stark.
