Penny slumped against the door, and kicked off her shoes. This has been an extremely long night for her. Tired, she dragged herself into her room. She didn't even bother taking off her dress, just flopped down on the bed and fell asleep. A smile on her face.

Nick sighed as he closed the door. He was happy. And nothing could change that.

"Finally, you're back!" Nick's mother shuffled in from the kitchen. "Based on from the time you've been out, I'm guessing you got to at least second base."

"Mom!" Nick hugged his mother, kissing her head.

"How'd it go baby?" She wobbled back to her seat in the kitchen, "Want somethin' to eat?"

"I'm fine mom." Nick leaned against the counter, "I think it went well." Nick's mom mixed up some chocolate milk, nodding her head and 'Mm Hm"-ing. "What?"

She handed him the glass, "Drink this."

"Mom, I told you, I'm fine." Nick put the glass on the counter, but his mom put it back in his hand. He sighed, and downed the milk. "Now, what is it?"

She looked up at him, one eyebrow raised. "You kissed her?"

Nick gave his mom a look. "I don't see how that's--"

"Any of my business?" She nodded, snatching the glass from his hand, washing it vigorously, "No, no. Not my business. It's only my baby boy, my first born child, my only child. Of whom, I gave life too! But no! I don't deserve to hear about what's goin' on in his life!" Nick took his mother by the shoulders and lead her to her room, she was still ranting by the time she was in bed. Then she was pouting.

"Nick kissed his mother on the forehead, "Yes, I kissed her."

Happy, his mom was snoring in no time. But Nick lie awake, staring at the ceiling. He was happy.
