Go into the cave?
❤️Yes No
Frisk had decided. She was going to check out the cave. Instead of trying to avoid trouble, she might be already getting into more. Well, she didn't know that, and there wasn't anything better to do anyway.
Frisk cautiously walked into the cave. It wasn't that dark, considering that the light of the moon was illuminating the cave with a soft glow. It was enough to tell Frisk that there weren't any possible threats inside.
Frisk's walking stopped. She looked at the cave's intricate design. It was a bit unique for a cave. It wasn't big nor cramped, it had a moderate size. And it seemed that it didn't have any inhabitants in it. At least, that's what Frisk thought.
The inside looked clean, with no trace of litter or... Carcasses. There were rocks that formed weird shapes hanging from the ceiling, it looked like there was water constantly dripping from it, forming a shallow puddle beneath.
The floor was shiny, probably shinier, since the cave seemed to have reflected light. It looked alright for a cave, she could see even take shelter in it, if there wasn't already a crack outside.
Now that Frisk thought of it, the cave didn't look very stable. It looked damage as there were multiple cracks from different parts of the cave. And the rocks hanging on the cave's ceiling didn't look very... Stable.
Like it was about to fall down and crush her.
Frisk subconsciously shivered. She just wanted to see if there was anything interesting in the cave, then she'll continue on her way to find something that would help her survive.
She walked further into the cave, examining the unfamiliar things around her. She glanced to her right, and to her surprise, there was a patch of flowers.
'How could it grow inside a cave?' Frisk thought, walking towards the patch of flowers. She crouched, and sniffed it. She smiled, catching a familiar scent... Buttercups!
It was weird to smell other flowers' scents. Considering that she lived her whole life around an excessive amount of rose bushes. She was sort of tired with the whole 'Red is our family's theme!' statement her mother kept reminding her for half her life.
She stood up from her crouching position, stretching her legs a bit. She was about to turn around and leave, thinking, 'Nothing really seems weird here besides this Buttercup patch.', until her eyes laid upon a hole on the cave's wall.
She looked at it with interest, then slowly approached it as she clutched her bag. Inspecting it, she realized that she almost missed something that was probably hiding something important.
There was this part of the wall that Frisk accidentally missed. It had some sort of plant covering it, but there was a part where it seemed like the plant didn't reach, revealing a slight opening to... Somewhere.
Stretching her arm to its fullest extent, she was already standing on her toes as she gripped the bottom part of the vine.
With a grunt and enough force, she pulled.
The vines snapped and were thrown far back.
There, revealed, was a large opening to a tunnel-like passageway.
It was eerie, dark, and would probably have alien and terrifying things hidden inside.
That wasn't enough to stop Frisk...
"Well... I think I did need to bring my flashlight." She muttered, shaking her head at herself. She already stepped in with no hesitation at all. She did face worse, it was just a like little horror movie scene where the main protagonist would be reckless enough to enter and go directly to danger.
And she knew this, but didn't stop.
Walking calmly across the tunnel as she held her hand up against the wall for support, if she trips again.
It felt like hours as she kept going. No stops or change of mind, she just kept going.
She arrived... Somewhere, she just didn't know where. There, Frisk stood with eyes widened in surprise. She was at the top of a mountain. How she got there was a mystery to her. All she did, in fact was enter a cave, then an excessively long passage.
This was beyond weird... And for some reason, Frisk's curiosity was still running like a lively factory. She walked towards the center, with small steps, hardly making any sound.
Another feeling of shock courses through her body as her eyes gazed upon something spectacular and at the same time, fear rising.
...A huge and gaping hole, at the center of the mountaintop.
This was once again, weird... A little terrifying, too. Frisk thought how this was reckless and stupid, but her feet was like controlling her as she approached the pit closer.
Little did she know that there was that single vine ready to trip her.
Her clumsiness stroke again. Not only in dancing, but for life and death situations.
...So she fell. She couldn't do anything, not even scream, but close her eyes and pray for an almost impossible survival.
'Am I going down without fulfilling my dreams? I haven't proven anything yet. I truly am a disgrace.'
She thought, tears slightly brimming her eyes. Her short hair covering her face because of the harsh wind caused by the falling. Her bag almost getting separated from her, so despite the situation, she was gripping it tightly.
She had not welcomed death yet. Her DETERMINATION wanted her to keep on going. She had a purpose.
Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted.
...Then darkness enveloped her.
The last thing she felt was the comforting feeling of flowers catching her.
DONE YAY. Frisk fell. Woooo...?
