Camille's smile was sickening as she grabbed hold of the dagger, sliding it out of her chest.
"Was that supposed to hurt?" She asked, her smile widening into a grin. Alec ground his teeth together, his back was to the wall (both literally and figuratively.) He didn't have a lot of options. They were underground, which cut out the option of using the sun, which was already unlikely because it would soon set, and his bow was currently several feet away from him. Camilles tisked, dropping the knife at her feet before walkin closer. "You're supposed to know better." She sighed. Alec didn't waste his breath replying. He was still mulling over this entire situation, searching for anyway out that didn't involve him dying. Camille was growing impatient with his silence, and he flinched as her hand curled around his chin. "Well, I know that this is going to be the last time you interfere in my business." She nearly snarled, smile turning into a threatening scowl. Alec reached up to shove her away, but she moved at inhuman speed to catch his wrists, turning and throwing him across the room. Alec grunted as his body hit the floor, groaning as he pushed himself up onto his knees. Camille was over him again, looking down her nose at him. "There's no one here to help you this time." She said smugly. Alec felt like his head would burst when her foot slammed into his skull, making him collapse back to the floor. He coughed, breathing heavily through a swollen jaw as he pushed to sit on all fours.

.........

Alec had been out on a date with Magnus. And, unlike their first date, it had been going quite well. That was, until, Alec got a call from Jace (as if Jace's date was more important than his) saying that Jace was busy, and he needed Alec to go check out so-called vampire spotting. Alec had apoligized a hundred times at least, but Magnus had simply waved him off. "Go do your shadow hunter thing." He'd said, offering a coy smile and a wink before parting ways with his boyfriend. Alec had sighed, pissed at Jace for interupting, and collected his weapons at the institute before heading to the abandoned building. It'd gone relatively well, he'd made his way through it, more and more angry at Jace as he realized no one was there. He actually discovered the basement on accident, as the floor boards were less stable then they looked, and they'd snapped under his weight. That was when shit hit the fan. He'd barelly had any time to recouperate from the fall when something had launched at him, throwing him backwards, the surprise making him drop his bow as his back hit the wall. Camille had approached him with a scowl, kicking the bow away.
"How is it that you manage to mess everything up every.single.time." She snarled through closed teeth. Alec had little time to think before he was hurling his dagger at her.
And that brings us back to now.
........

Camille aas reaching towards him again, bending to grab the collar of his shirt and lift him off the ground.
"Any final words?" Camille wasn't really asking. Alec didn't reply, only raising his hands to pull at her's as he glared at her. A flash of blue light zapped past them, making Camille hiss, droppin Alec, as she stepped away.
"Sorry, darling, I'm afraid he won't be dying today." Magnus replied, returning Camille's scowl with a small, smug, smile. Alec couldn't believe it. Maybe he was delirious? Probably not. He couldn't help but grin as he leaned back against the wall. "I think we're going to take our leave." Magnus added, walking over to help Alec stand. "Is that going to be a problem?" Camille's hands were curled into fists.
"How did you find us?!" She snapped, "I was so close!"
"Warlock tracking my dear. Also, if you want to kill somebody, try not to spend so long playing." Magnus replied, waving dismissively as he walked Alec out, making their way towards the stairs. Alec was still slightly dazed as he leaned on Magnus, but he gave a small chuckle. Magnus glanced over at him, but didn't stop.
"Why did you come looking for me?" Alec asked, wincing at the clicking in his jaw as he spoke. Magnus sat him down once they were outside, turning Alec's chin gently.
"Jaws not broken, lucky. I don't know if I can say the same for you ribs though." Magnus mumbled, pressing lightly of Alec's chest.
"Magnus?" The warlock sighed, sitting back.
"I dropped by the institute to see where you'd gone. Isabelle said that you'd gone to check on a vampire sighting. I got worried, soni came to check on you." Magnus replied, reaching down to help Alec stand again. "And lucky I did." He added with a smile, turning his head to gently touch his lips to Alec's cheek. Alec nodded in agreement before leaning his head on Magnus' shoulder. "Let's get you to the institute."
