Elliott was Mr. Miller's mentor back when he was in college to become an Information Technology Technician (I.T. tech). They became good friends and now Mr. Miller works at Elliott's company, Project Woods. Mr. Miller is head of the software development branch. Dean followed in his dad's steps and works there too, but since he is a people person he like works in the customer service department. From what I've heard Elliott is a great guy, he's practically Dean's uncle. Running a company is not easy so he is mostly busy, which is why I have never met him. I've had opportunities to meet him, but there was always some big company emergency that prevented me from doing so. I can't believe I'm finally going to meet him. I'm going to meet Elliott Woods. The man everyone speaks very highly of. They all idolize him. How can I NOT be nervous? I just hope he likes me. This kind of feels like when you are about to meet your loved one's parents. Except for the fact that this is much more stressful. I'm stressing myself out just thinking about it. Now I'm kind of in the mood to pull my hair out and kind of in the mood to eat fifty tacos. I need to calm down before I have a mental break down. I pull myself out of my thoughts and focus on Mr. and Mrs. Miller. "Well I'm glad to two are on board, we have to get everything set up for tonight, but we'll see you at dinner." Mr. Miller says, dismissing himself and Mrs. Miller. "I'll text you the information for tonight." Mrs. Miller tells Dean, waving as she walks out. "I'm so glad you're finally going to meet Elliott," Dean says with a big smile. "Yeah, me too," I say trying to sound enthusiastic and failing. It sounded more like sarcasm. I look at my feet, not wanting to look Dean in the eye. He'll know how much of a nervous wreck I am in an instant. Dean's places his hand under my chin and gently tilts it up, forcing me to look at him. His brows are furrowed and he's chewing on his lower lip, he's worried. "Hey, what's wrong?" He asks gently. "I just... what if he doesn't like me?" I ask looking up into his big blue eyes that are filled with concern. My eyes silently imploring for him to ease my worries. Begging for him to tell me that I'm crazy merely for having such an idiotic thought. "That's an insane assumption. Of course, he's going to love you." He complies. "But what if-" I'm about to start rambling when Dean intervenes. "No buts, he's going to love you." He says as he leans closer, resting his forehead against mine. "How do you know?" I whisper staring into those ocean blue eyes. "I know because I love you," Dean whispers back. "I love you too," I whisper as I close my eyes. At first, I wasn't completely sure if he had heard me. His reaction confirms that he did.
