I took my first step into his house. Every house has a certain smell, always indescribable. But his house smelled familiar and cozy. Like it was meant for guests to come over. I got thoughts in my head, "how many people have come over? How many people have been in Adams room? And how many people has he had a romantic relationship with..."

I must have looked utterly terrified because he held my hand and said "hey, it'll be alright. We're just going up to my room."

As we walked up the steps, I couldn't help but notice how he looked back at me every few steps to see if I was following along. When we got to the top of his staircase I said "Pretty nice house you got here! I think today will be fun." Adam gave me a cute laugh " Oh, this'll be amazing." He walked me over to his room. When he opened the door, it all made sense now. The room had the same scent as his textbook that I found. "Ahhhh....Ginger tea" I thought.

Once he closed the door, the mood changed from nice and welcoming to anything but innocent. I heard a click coming from the doorknob. He locked it.

A feeling rose up into my chest that I've never felt before. I don't know if it was love or fear, but I was ready for him. I was ready for us.
"CJ, you can sleep on my bed tonight. I told my mom that you can just sleep with me tonight, since you don't have a sleeping bag" he explained with a smile. I was ecstatic.

Adam sat down next to me. I don't know if the moment was awkward or not as we were both staring into each others eyes in silence. His eyes were gorgeous. They brought me back to a time when I didn't have to worry about things like school and life and just having problems. He took all my burdens away. He filled me with happiness like no one else had.

I moved my hand closer to his. Our fingers barely touched, but it felt like electricity was flowing between us. I wanted more. And so did he. We held hands with our fingers interlocked.  I blushed when he looked away. He was so handsome in this moment. I couldn't look away.
