They continued to talk, and with each word shared between them, they fell for each other a little bit more.

Perhaps not in love. The naivety in their youth prevented that.
But when a connection develops so rapidly, so strongly, between two people, it was certainly hard not to confuse with summer love.

No. Reuben and Halley didn't fall in love.

What they shared between them, was something only the luckiest of people experienced.

Something spectacular, something inexpressibly rare, something treasured even more than love itself.

A spectacular moment of true kairos.
