I Love you

the letter

I start thinking about the letter.
It may scare him away but I need to give it to him. My mom has kept it all these years and it means so much to her.

Monday afternoon
My phone buzzes " so baby how did the date go with brice" its mya. I kinda got my hopes up it was brice. "It was great. I saw him last tuesday for a second date" "thats awesome! " "ikr" "well I gtg ttyl♡♥"

Then my phone buzzes again. This time its brice. I smile

" so do you have plans on your birthday"

"I may. But it depends how this conversation ends."

"May I pick you up on tuesday at.6 ?"

" of course. Comfy or pretty? "

"You were beautiful last time but pretty"

I cant stop smiling. Im so excited.

Your probably thinking shouldnt she be at school? But I take courses online so im advanced and it only takes me half a day.

I am tired I think I will take a nap.

Dinner time
I get woken up for dinner. I head downstairs and remember tonight is lasagna! Wooohooo!
My dad cooks the best lasagna. I sit down and a huge plate is put in front of me "thank you daddy"
"but dad I dont wanna clean then when I give you food its daddy" I nod my head and say "yup" popping the p. I finsh my food and go back upstairs to sleep.

Tuesday afternoon
This morning was uneventful. The presents I got were books,book quotes on a tshirt and a chapters gift card. But I also got a red dress that has a long lace detail at the bottom. Im gonna wear that.

I put on the red dress ,diamond earings and a light red shade of lipstick. Then I heard a knock at the door. I run downstairs and take the envelope from my mom " I promise ill give it to him just when the time is right" she nods and then I walk outside. He is in a tux. Gosh he is handsom. " you look gorgeous jessica" he is looking up and down me. For the first time around him I feel body conscious.

"So where are we going"

"I thought we could go see the purge"
I looked at him. Really? I got all dressed up for....the purge. No way.

"I see you like my sarcasm."
Oh he was joking.
We keep driving until we get to Red lobster.

We go inside and have a wonderful dinner. It would have been nicer if it was darker. Its still light out.

After dinner we drive to the beach. We get out of the car and go sit on the rocks. The sunset was beautiful especially with the water splashing off the rocks. He pulls somthing out of his pocket. Its green wrapping paper.
I open it and in it is a can of pepsi and mentos. I smile. " I love it." "You dont think thats your actual present do you? " then he pulls a box out of his pocket. "Happy birthday Jessica. " I open it up and its a J inside of a heart. He pulls me into a hug and says " I love you " so I just pull out the letter and give it to him
"Um just a fair warning ,I was eight when I did this. And I thought it would be a miracle if I lived to my first date." "Umm ok? " he opened it and read it out loud

"dear dreamy boyfriend.I love you. I hope u love me. Be my prince and carry me off into the sunset. I ask you one thing. If you havent kissed me already ...get on with it! Say hi to me for me.
