(Again this is a black rock shooter fanfiction, so it's going to be a mixture of the anime and the game-- in a way, enjoy. Let me know if I used the suffixes correctly. Also I'm describing the characters features from memory. Sorry if I get something wrong. Ishikawa Shiori is the only character that doesn't exist in the actual series)
----------
Through the empty halls of the school, the bell rang signaling that class has begun. It was the first day at a new school and all the students were standing, waiting to be welcomed and told the rules. A young girl stared at the floor, taking deep breaths. New people horrified her, there was a fifty-fifty chance that she would make friends. Her hair was black and short, she had two pig tails that if you looked closely, were uneven. Her eyes were a burning sapphire blue, her skin was pale.

After what seemed like forever the welcoming was finally over, she found her class and sat down in the back, tapping her foot. There were three students in a group talking, sometimes looking at her. She saw them at the corner of her eye but didn't dare look up, the Three walked up to her and started a shy conversation, time flew by and within the first week they were all friends. Two were girls, one was a boy. "Koutari-chan, are you up for a friend get-together this weekend?" Mato asked.  Koutari Yuu was the shortest out of all of them, she had brown short messy hair with brownish bronze eyes. "Yeah, if I'm not busy." She replied.

Mato nodded and smiled, before running to yomi and asking the same. Yomi was the tallest out of them all, she had a greenish tint to her hair but the only shown in the light. Her eyes and glasses were also green. Mato got the same reply then ran to her third friend, ishikawa shiori. "Ishikawa-Kun, would you like to come to a friend get-together this weekend? We will meet up at my house." Mato smiled, he jumped slightly. Shiori was shorter than mato, around 5'0. His hair was a odd bright white with two faint silver streaks. His hair was spiked in the back and longer up front, his bangs were held back by clips, he would get scolded constantly for dying his hair, even though he didn't. It was a look that suited him well, his eyes were a gradient, a beautiful bright yellow to a nice bronze towards the bottom. "Yes, I'll definitely be there." He said quickly. Mato tilted her head slightly with a smile and hugged him. She patted his head after and ran off.

He sighed and laughed a little, he stood on his toes to reach for his book bag. He walked over to mato and waited with her for the other two. They all walked home together, laughing, talking, joking around and complaining about the work they have gotten.
----------
The weekend came and the three made it over to her house and they walked around to different shops, and were just having a good time being with one another. Until at some point, Mato and shiori stopped to look at something. They said they were stopped loud enough for yomi and yuu to hear but the decided to keep walking. Now they were separated. Mato ran ahead, thinking they were all still in a group.

"Mato," shiori said as he caught up to her. "We have been separated from  Koutari-San and takanashi-San."

Mato pulled out her phone and called yomi, luckily, they were both together but she seemed short and stand-offish towards mato. This worried shiori, never has he heard yomi sound so angry.

When she hung up, mato looked at shiori with tears in her eyes. "Oh mato it's okay." He said and rubbed circles on her back. "She could be stressed out with being separated... Or maybe she ran into a rude person and she was just trying to get over it." He said. Shiori cooed calming words as he sat down next to her.

It was weird having people stare and snicker at them as he tried to calm her down. Shiori knew he didn't look calm, but he tried so hard to calm her down.

Finally she calmed down and they continued walking around "Mato." he he dragged her name out, picking up a goofy-faced mask and showing it to her. She laughed and they continued on. Then she got a text from both yomi and yuu. "We have to go home." The message read. Mato replied with a simple "okay" and continued on with the day slightly bummed that it didn't go as planned.
------------
It was nearing evening and people were returning home. "I'll walk you home." Shiori said. "Thank you." Mato said as she walked through the gate. He smiled and waved, watching to make sure she got into her home safely. He could faintly hear her call out that she was home and her mother happily greeted her. Now the dreaded walk home. He walked slowly, each step he started to shake more and more, it didn't help that he felt like he was being followed. He took the longest way around, to make sure that by the time he got home, his parents would be asleep.

Run

Run

RUN

It went through his head as his feet hit the ground, pleading silently with the thing that it would stop.

(Warning: gore)

"MATO! MAT-" pain went through him as he was cut in two by an unknown figure. Blood covered the walls of the buildings and went down like paint, his fingers were slightly twitching, it went for about five minutes and then stopped. His eyes were open, the glow was gone. Shiori's face was terrified, the last thing he saw were empty streets, and the last emotion he felt was fear, what people told him were right, he was going to die alone, their wish was granted as well. The figure stood over him, glaring but satisfied with what they'd done. "She can't be awoken."

(Welp, everything seems rushed, hopefully it isn't. One of my friends helped me out with fixing some of the things. I'm grateful for that, thanks llama!)
