"Shiori's hurt!" Stella yelled. The soldiers were searching for survivors after Stella left to fight mii. She continued running towards base and the soldiers quickly followed. The door requires a passcode and everyone was still way behind her. She went sideways and used her shoulder to bust down the door. The door flew o the other side of the entrance room and the frame dented in to the base. "Good heavens!"

Stella ran as hard as she could to the makeshift hospital room. "The cut is too deep into his lung, there's really nothing we can do." One medic said. Stella looked at Shiori, his breathing was labored and with each breath he coughed and groaned in pain. Stella looked towards the medics again, two of them except for the first one ran to at least work on him. "He's so young. He needs a chance." A woman medic said. The third one only nodded in agreement as the first sighed and quickly got supplies to perform surgery. Stella smiled hopefully as they shooed her out of the room.

"The door... how did you do it?" Rothcall asked. "Used my shoulder." Stella replied with a pat to her shoulder and winced. "It's going to be bruised for a bit, can't believe you were insane enough to do that."
"You would have done the same thing if you were in a hurry. I couldn't spare a second, Shiori was dying in my arms." Stella bowed her head. Stella looked back to see three more medics rush down the hall. Her foot started tapping and she started rocking side to side, impatient and worried. "Rothcall," she said and got his attention. "Do you... think... do you think that Shiori will be alright?"

"Better than ever, Stella. He's a tough kid and has pulled through a lot. He got rid of Dead Master and Strength a couple years before you woke up. Then he lost his legs to the red guy. But it seems like you can handle it." Rothcall smiled, patting her back in reassurance. "He's a tough kid, he'll be better than ever."

He was under anesthetics, everything was dark and peaceful until the voices kicked in.

(Warning: very dark and sad, skip over if you don't like it.)

Die
Die
Die
DIE
Again and again the word repeated and got louder.
Please stop! I don't need to hear you!! Leave me alone! A kid bound by chains that suspended him in the air tightened with his thrashes. He screamed in agony as his muscles tore and his bones crushed.
DIE
Die
die
die

The voices faded away, leaving him crying.

You know, trash goes to a landfill because it has no worth.
Okay?
You can't take hints as to were you belong?
You're not worth a burial.
Your not worth anything, human worth is determined by others you know?

The beat downs flooded through, tears drenched the kids face as his beautiful bronze-gold eyes burned with hate. "I'll hurt you... I'll get rid of you... I'll make sure you never say those words to me again." He growled through his gritted teeth.

Two adults were surrounding him and yelling at him, throwing vulgar words at him and hitting him. It wasn't helping his burning eyes, he thrashed in the chains; yelling and growling and threatening them. The chains were hurting him but all he could think of was how to hurt those people, the pain was nothing.
(End)
Everything went back to peaceful silence. Then happy memories flooded through. Mato was there and they were enjoying a school festival together. Mato was showing him an ant mound for some odd reason, she then kicked the ant mound and ran away as fast as she could back to the stands that were set up. Shiori stood in shock for a moment before laughing a bit and went back into the crowd to find her.

Back in the real world Stella was sitting by him, holding onto his jacket sleeve. They managed to keep him alive. There was a fresh stitch going across his chest. The area was bruised a dark purple.

"And it all could have been avoided if I would have charged the canon sooner." Stella told herself. She looked at Shiori who seemed to be smiling in his medicine induced sleep. Stella sighed and closed her eyes remaining seated next to him and fell asleep.

Shiori was the first to wake up. He blinked to get his eyes to focus. Stella came into his line of sight as he carefully sat himself up. "Why is it that everything seems more pleasant when you're around. And why is it I always have a picture of Mato come into my mind when I'm around." He asked, more to himself but it was loud enough to wake Stella up. "I don't know." She replied and opened her eyes.

"Don't be stupid. Do NOT blur the lines between Stella and Mato, they are two different people." Shiori told himself. "Individuals may have some similarities but that does not mean they are the same.

(Question: I feel like I'm making Shiori seem like a love interest or has like a crush on Mato, does it seem like it to you guys? ((I'm not aiming for that though)) let me know what I can do to make it not seem like it, thank you)

"What did Mato do that made you want to fight this?" Stella asked. "She was just a good friend to me, and I want to do something in return."
"You don't even know if she's alive."

Something happened in his head, the lines blurred. Stella and Mato were the same person but only for a second. "Mato.. you're right next to me." He said looking at Stella. "Just because two individuals have similarities doesn't mean they are the same." She repeated herself, snapping him back into place. He apologized for what he said. "It's okay, I don't remember much, I think the professors name was Gibson. I was created for something.. I don't think fighting was the intention." She said.
"I remember him well before the destruction happened. I've talked to him, he said that you were the final one, the one, Stella.. he told me to call you Stella." Shiori said. The picture of the professor was painted clearer to her now. "He's been long gone for some time now."
"How long?"
"I don't know."

Stella looked forward and stood up, her trench coat caught some wind and flew back. Shiori looked up at her, his eyes were wide. "You look like a super hero." He said.
"I'm not one.. There's nothing super about me, I'm just a regular human."

Shiori sighed and groaned as he shifted. "You're not going to be able to fight for a bit."
"Just give me a couple of days." He took a deep breath and winced. "It hurts to breath." He groaned.

"Shiori, are you going to live?" Stella asked. "Yeah, I will! Don't worry over me." Shiori smiled. "Shiori... will we win?"
"I'm not sure... with you we have a chance!"
"I hope we win."
"We will... with that attitude... be positive."
"Shiori."
"Hmmm?"
"Who are those people?"
He stared at her with a puzzled expression.

"I don't know who you are talking about." He said and knitted his eyebrows together in deep thought. "Those people I fought... they look nothing like aliens..." she said.
"They look like you and the soldiers."
"I know... something about them makes me wonder if something happened."
"Like what?"
"Something paranormal.. or maybe scientific since it's easier to prove. Something happened where they were being tested on by Gibson and he unlocked something... and that form took over." Shiori explained. "It seems believable, since the two we saw had some scars on them."

"See? Science is easier to explain than the paranormal." Shiori smiled.

Rothcall walked in to check on them. "Where to next, rothcall?" Shiori asked. "Moscow."

Stella looked at Shiori. "Trike?"
"No, we need a jet."

"But right now Shiori needs to recover. We all want to rest at the moment. And Shiori needs it." Rothcall smiled bitterly as Stella looked back at Shiori to examine the scar. "Kids shouldn't have to go through this." He mumbled before leaving.
