Stella opened her eyes and all she saw was darkness. She heard distorted voices coming from all around. She moved her head to see a crouched glowing figure in the distance. She stood up and shook her dizziness away and ran towards it. "Are you okay? Are you feeling we- SHIORI!!" Stella yelled as she witnessed him being attacked, bodies of people with pistols for head were literally shooting him down. Each time he cried out in pain and begged them to stop laughter would become louder and would drown him out. Then the pistol-headed bodies would go back to shooting him. "You stay away from him!" She screamed and bared her teeth. She bounded down the seemingly never ended stretch and guarded him. She covered his ears and his eyes, her hands and clothes soaking up the blood quickly.

His breath was shaky, and he choked back tears. "I-I'm just trying to get Mato... I don't understand why..." he mumbled. She draped her cloak around him and hugged him, protecting him the best she could. "I'm here... I'm here... don't think I'm not here!" She said. Stella's eyes widened with shock at what she said. She turned her head to the right and saw a mirror, her hair was really short but was still in pigtails, and she was wearing a school uniform. So was Shiori. "I'm here... I'm here..." she said, trying her best to console him.

Stella gasped as her eyes shot open to the ceiling of the base, they were all back home. Shiori jumped up as well, he was awake the entire time. "You're okay!" He exclaimed and hugged her tightly. Stella hugged him back with confusion and looked around, her eyes landed on a girl with gray hair and eyes. She just stood in the doorway, shaking her head and clicking her tongue. "You really are stupid." She said. "I though I told you to stop." Shiori growled, silencing the girl and continued to hug Stella. He parted to face her, a huge smile on his face. "I'm Mato." She blurted out.

Shiori laughed before patting her shoulder. "No you're not, you said it yourself; just because to individuals are similar doesn't mean they're the same." He reminded her. "But I saw a mirror, and I looked and that girl was hugging you, she was in my place for the mirror Shiori."

"You had a dream, Stella." The other girl stated.

Stella looked down, before nodding. "I'm sorry." She mumbled. Shiori smiled before hugging her again. He sighed heavily before sitting next to her. "Who are you?" Stella finally asked the girl. "Nana, I'm your sister." She said, uninterested.

Shiori didn't give nana much room to talk, he was so curious about Stella's dream he immediately started asking her questions about it. "Who else was in it?" He finally asked. Visions of him screaming as the pistol-headed people hurting him and how the reflection of Mato replaced her.

"I can't remember." She lied. "Oh, but Mato was there?"
"Yeah, she was replacing me in a reflection."
Shioris eyes widened with surprised, his lips parted slightly as if he was going to say something but in the end he just smiled. "Mato... she's somewhere." He said.

Stella shivered; she was still cold. Shiori pulled her close into a hug. "Tell me when you're warm." He said. Stella noticed that Nana was gone. "Shiori... do you like Mato?" She asked. "She did a lot for me. The least I can do is keep her in my thoughts through this thing."

Stella took him by the shoulders and pushed him away. "Why don't you save your hugging for her then?" She asked. "You're cold." He said. "Doesn't matter." She responded. He bowed his head. "Can I hug you?"
"No."
A frown covered his bright features as he felt tears starting to form. "Why are you crying?"
"I don't know why."

He was honest, he didn't know. What was causing him to cry? Stella looked at him, she saw someone shattered in his eyes. His pupils slit, giving him an animalistic look. "I'm so sad..." he choked on his tears. "And I don't know why."

Stella rubbed his back trying to sooth him. "It'll be okay... I promise... just cry for now." She encouraged. "I don't want to... I can't... cry..."
"You can, you'll feel better."
Shiori continued crying, even though he was fighting it. "It's useless to cry it won't change anything."
"You will feel lighter."

She was telling the truth, he did feel lighter after crying. Stella got up and went outside, where she met nana. Nana threw insults at her, saying she was dumb and how weak Stella was. Stella only looked at her and tilted her head; she didn't understand what she did wrong to make her sister so angry at her.

Shiori didn't put up with it, but now that nana new that Stella wasn't going to do anything she kept on throwing insult after insult. (A/N: I really don't like Nana.) Shiori snapped and shoved her to the floor and grabbed onto her shirt collar. "Don't ever talk to her like that again." He growled. Nana smiled kindly to him and patted his head. "If you knew how worthless she was you'd be doing the same thing."

"She's done more than you, she never intentionally hid away.. unlike you." He bared his teeth. Nana seemed offended and huffed, turning her head. She wanted to hear nothing more from him, he was just a brat like Stella. "You go back and forth, back an forth between Stella and Mato. Make up your mind." She finally said. "You're making no sense--- I'm done talking to you, you've---" he stormed off towards the soldiers and talked to them. "She has always acted like that since she was young, she believes she should have been blessed with the power Stella has. She's convinced her "dad" created Stella so she could use her to become powerful." Rothcall explained. "Professor Gibson never gave me permission to meet any of them."
"And for good reason, you see, they are all prototypes... Stella, Nana, and many others before her. Though I can't tell you who the final form is."
"Why not?"
"Because I don't know."

Shiori looked at Nana, he could see in her eyes. She wasn't with it at all. She was stuck inside her own little world believing that she was the actual hero. It was completely new ground for him to deal with. Never has he met someone who thought that. "I'm glad Stella isn't like that." Shiori finally said. "I am too. But we just have to deal with her until something happens. Or perhaps get her help. Locking her up being last resort." Rothcall said. Shiori nodded in agreement and looked over at Stella who just shrugged.

"We must head back to where we woke up Stella."

Shiori looked back at Forbes, surprised that he actually called her by name.

"Right away, lets go fuel up the jet and helicopters."
