Chapter 7

"Mom why can't D.J.A.B 2000 come with us?" Delilah asks me. She doesn't understand that it's not normal to have powers of a robot twin. She doesn't understand that she is special. "Delilah, because we have to protect her remember, or the evil scientists will take her." I told her. It wasn't a complete lie. It's true we have to protect her, but I'm not sure if evil scientists will take her.
~Time Skip~
It's been a week since I met Josh and I haven't yet called him. I think I might do that today. I stroll over to the phone and dial the number. It starts ringing and it rings for a while. I almost give up when I here someone on the other end of the phone. "Hello?" I say. The voice I can instantly tell is Josh's returns my hello. "I was wandering when you would call me."
"Sorry, but ever since that thing with Delilah I've been a little paranoid to do anything recently."
"Oh, it's fine I was just wanting to know if you would like to come over for dinner tonight."
"I would love to, but I don't have anywhere for Delilah to stay." As I say this I immediately start to tear up.
     Right after Delilah came Sophie had to leave and Aaron went insane. That only left my parents. My mom disapproved me keeping Delilah and she hated the name I gave her. My dad loved Delilah, when she was three he would take her to the pond to feed ducks and they would have a great time. Shortly after that my dad got diagnosed with cancer and died six months later.
    "Hello? Are you still there?" Josh asks. I realize I hadn't been talking at all. "Um... Yea I'm still here."
"Great I have someone to watch Delilah. Her name is Sophie, she just got done moving here from Nevada and she said she wants to surprise her friend. Since I helped her move and everything she said she would like to help me out in anyway!"
"That's great!" I say.
     We finish making our plans and I start to call my bestie, Sophie, when someone walks through my door.
