Dreams of Terror

The clock struck twelve when it happened.

A bloodcurling scream rang in the air, awakening those who were asleep, surprising those who were not.

And just as quickly as it appeared, the scream quickly died out, engulfing the mansion into an eerie silence.

Reborn and the Arcobalenos were in the meeting room when it happened. Without wasting a second, all of them bolted out of their seats and the room, running towards that one place.

As soon as they arrived, the door to that one place was ajar, indicating that someone else had entered first. Noises could be heard on the other side of the wall. Without a second thought, they burst into the room, weapons in hand, ready to take out what they expected were enemies. Instead, they saw Decimo's Guardians, frantically trying to hold a struggling Tsuna.

Gokudera was trying to keep Tsuna's left hand from hitting anyone, Hibari had a secure grip on Tsuna's right hand -growling once in awhile when resistance was unconsciously made by Tsuna- Ryohei wore a serious expression as he held down Tsuna's right foot while Lambo struggled against Tsuna's left foot. Yamamoto was emitting rain flames while Mukuro and Chrome had their hands on Tsuna's forehead.

Tears fell down heavily from the corner of Tsuna's eyes as he kept writhing and thrashing, as if he's in extreme pain. Incoherent words flowed out of his mouth, forming jumbled sentences and sobs.

Both Lal and Collonello released their Rain flames, helping Yamamoto's effort in calming Tsuna down.

After 30 minutes, Tsuna's body slowly relaxed, the effects of the Rain flames finally taking place.

"It must have happened again. And from the looks of it, it was more worse than yesterday." Reborn grimly spoke.

"Get some sleep. All of you. We'll talk about this once Tsuna's awake." Reborn ordered. Although some protested, they finally complied and walked out of the room, leaving Reborn to watch over Tsuna and Collonello to make sure Tsuna stays asleep.

When the sun finally rised, the guardians, the Arcobalenos, Byakuran, Yuni, Dino and even the Varia had gathered in the dining room. All of them miraculously sat quietly in their seats, waiting for Tsuna's appearance.

A moment later, the double doors swung opened and Tsuna walked in with Reborn and Collonello by his sides. His pale face and weak smile made his guardians worry for his health.

"Good morning, everyone," greeted Tsuna, not noticing the other occupants besides his guardians, Reborn and Collonello.

"Scum," Xanxus scoffed with a tinge of worry that went unnoticed by others except those who've known him.

Tsuna widened his eyes slightly when he heard Xanxus' usual greeting. "X-Xanxus? What are you doing here? Eh? Byakuran? Dino-nii? Yuni and even the Arcobalenos? What's going on?" Tsuna looked confused.

"You had another dream, didn't you?" Yuni asked, her eyes filled with worry.

"Huh? Yeah, how did you know?"

"The hitman told us, Tsuna-kun," Byakuran answered, glancing at Reborn for a second.

"You screamed." Reborn informed Tsuna.

"Oh... I see..." Tsuna cast his gaze down to his hands.

"You promised you'd tell us what you had dreamed of and a mafia boss never breaks his promise. Now tell us," Reborn urged Tsuna.

Tsuna just took a deep breath and let it out slowly, before telling them his dream. "In that dream, I was chained to a wall, a man whose face was blurred, stood not far from me. At first, I thought I was dying from torture, but when he opened those gates looming in front of me, I knew it was just beginning."

"He dragged in... my guardians... half-beaten, powerless. I was shocked. I can feel my body tensed, I can feel anger boiling inside me. But what he did next, scarred me forever."

"He... he approached Hayato-kun first. Forced him to look at me. Hayato-kun was... he was bleeding... he was trying to say something... but the words never came out, because that man shot Hayato-kun in the head, right in front of me. I screamed."

"He went to Takeshi-kun next, and did the same thing. I begged him to stop but he didn't. He went near Ryohei next and slit his throat off. Then he went to Kyouya and shot him in the head. I... I was crying by then, I was saying I'd do anything as long as he spared my mists and lightning. He didn't listen. Mukuro retaliated but he was killed in the end. Chrome... Chrome tried to protect Lambo but she can only do so little in her state. Lambo... Lambo was the last one. I was pleading to him, saying he could take everything I own, as long as he let Lambo go, but he... he just smiled mockingly at me and pulled the trigger."

"When I saw my guardians' lifeless body I... I was heartbroken... I despaired and mourned. Eventually I... I died from extreme heartbreak. After that, I woke up and saw Reborn and Collonello who told me they were keeping watch on me." Tsuna ended his story.

The room had never been this silent when they were occupied like now. A majority of them had unconsciously leaked out their killing intent, showing their rage and discontent.

The guardians especially, were the most angry of all. Angry at the man who they never knew for hurting their Sky, angry at themselves for being so weak and unable to save him, angry at each other for making their kind and softhearted Sky cry.

Murderous intent hung in the air as the mood went grim. Tsuna however, just smiled.

"It's alright, guys. It's not like it's going to happen," he said.

"What do you mean?" Yuni asked.

"Because that thing happened about five months from now. If I make a move now, it will change the future and that sort of thing won't happen in the first place," Tsuna smiled brightly.

"But you don't even know who that man is. How will you make a move?" Lal questioned.

"I have my ways. You don't need to worry. After all, it's my job to protect you guys," Tsuna said as he stood up. Just as he was about to exit the room, he was blocked by Reborn.

"No. Sit down. Tell us everything, Dame-Tsuna," Reborn demanded.

Tsuna just sighed. "That man, he wore a ring with a crow insignia on it. If I check every Famiglia that has a crow insignia or have a crow-themed ring, it would definitely help," Tsuna revealed the information.

"Good enough. Now go to your office and finish your paperwork," Reborn ordered again.

"Eh.... but I wanted to search for the crow insignia," Tsuna pouted.

Reborn just pointed a gun at Tsuna. "No buts. Move your ass or I'll make you move it," Reborn glared at him.

Tsuna just 'hiee'd before scurrying off to his office. Reborn just tipped his fedora down and followed after him.

"Seriously, you should trust us a bit more, Dame-Tsuna," Reborn muttered under his breath.
