You were always known as the "bad guy".
You were tough. You didn't take shit from anyone. You didn't need anyone.
You put on this big boy act around everyone you know, and it's gotten to the point that it doesn't even affect me anymore.
You made sure to show that tough guy every time we fought. Never physically, but always verbally. You made sure I knew my place.
Until the day I used your tough guy act against you. I packed up my shit and I was so close to stepping out of the front door.
I had never seen you cry until then. I had never heard you beg or plead for something until then. I had never seen you want something so badly.
And you said something surprising. You said, "I need you."
And I couldn't believe, the boy who didn't need anyone, needed me. He needed me in his life and I never would've thought I would be able to get him to break through his stone cold shell.
