"Rents due next week, I can't give you anymore extension, I'm sorry Ariel." The tone in my land lords voice was crushing. This was one of the only places in the city where I can live without them questioning me for a guardian. Sure it was run down and on the scarier side of town but it's better then going back there.

"But I don't get payed until the end of the month! H-how am I supposed to get the money in time." The strain on my scalp from me tugging my hair was giving me a headache. "Figure it out." My door slams in my face, stubbing my big toe. Figures.

The back of my throat becomes tight, and my eyes begin watering as I slide to the floor. Only one thing can help me now... froyo. Slipping across the stained hardwood floor I make my way over to the fridge. Only to find it empty.

It's official, the world hates me. Wait you knew that. Who am I kidding everyone did. And now I'm going crazy, great.

Contemplating whether or not I should go out and buy some froyo at huddles, is like choosing if I want a pet dog or spider, simple. It's deciding if I want to risk the possibility of more than necessary human interaction that's the hard part. After a very long time I decide it's worth the risk. The trek to my run down car is a long and cold one. And the 10 minute drive is even longer.

When I get there I'm the only person here other then the one worker guy hiding behind his hat. Weirdo. Piling almost every flavor available that would mix into my bowl and scooping tons of broken kitkat pieces into it as  swiftly as I can is a close to impossible task. The faster I take here the faster I can get home and eat it while watching reruns of kuwtk.

So focused on my food I almost miss the sound of judgment from froyo boy.  Key word almost. Aggravated he would even think to judge me at 12:00 in huddles obviously going through shit, the spoon slips out of my grip and clatters to the ground.

Silence soon follows neither froyo boy or I dare move. The spoon falling keeps replaying in my head in slow motion. As if that spoon was the only thing holding me together I break down all at once. A sob escapes my lips, my body's shacking, my heads turning to the side as if in denial that I lost my most precious spoon. I collapse to the ground sobs wrack my body as I sit there staring at my spoon as if it was my husband of 20 years that cheated on me.

A soft hand touches my shoulder making sparks run through me. The hand's like its almost trying to reassure me that my spoon will be fine, that we'll work out my spoons infidelity through couples therapy. Froyo boy moves into my line of vision blocking my gaze at the spoon. Embarrassed at my current state my eyes snap to his knees mourning the loss of my spoon. I reach out for it, only for my hand to be mistaken for me reaching out for froyo boy instead causing him to cup it in between his. "It's just a plastic spoon. I can get you another." The voice seems familiar yet my crying washes out my logic, other wise I would've ran the minute I looked at him. "But it was my spoon." I barely say it above a whisper yet because of the close proximity between us he hears. "I'll wash it for you." Lifting my gaze from his knees deem itself a challenge but I manage to make eye contact.

Recognition flashes through both our eyes the second they meet. Before he can ask my name I'm up throwing a twenty at him to pay for my froyo yelling keep the change as I run through the door. No doubt leaving him as confused as me.

Half way to my car I noticed I forgot something... MY SPOON!! Reaching my back pocket for my phone I notice the absence of that certain item. Deeming it worth the risk I run Sparta style into the huddles only to run head first into, you guessed it Statefarm, Jake from Statefarm.

A/n soooo this is the first chapter/ introduction. I hope you enjoyed it:) just a heads up if you continue reading this story just know it's gonna be really cliche, and it's gonna get dark at some point but don't worry there's always a light at the end of the tunnel:) Also this is my second account where I'm gonna write super cliche novels, because on my first account I'm followed by two of my super close friends who will no doubt judge me. But feel free to follow my other account @vanold

Love you guys <3 Eva
