12: Ocean

Clara's P.O.V

Today the sun was shining brightly outside so I decided that me and Chris could head to the beach. I love the beach. It was really nice for a day like this. I had packed a nice soft, round blanket and a pillow or two. I packed me and Chris a cooler of some water and some snacks. I got some sunscreen too since I burn easily. Dodger followed behind me as we headed to the car.

I opened the back door letting Dodger hop into the car as Chris loaded the stuff into the back. Dodger curled up on the leather seats before I shut the door and climbed into the front passenger seat. I buckled my seat belt and fixed my cover up that was over my swimsuit. Chris finished loading up the car before he climbed into the drivers seat and started the car.

Chris pulled out of the driveway and we started heading toward the beach. I looked out the window and smiled as we drove by nice houses. They were all really nice looking houses. I laid my head back and rolled down my window taking a breath of fresh air. I loved having the windows down while driving. Well I didn't like the windows down during the winter.

Me and Chris arrived at the beach and he pulled into a parking lot. He parked the car and we got out. I opened the door letting Dodger hop out and follow me to the back to help Chris. I carried the bag that had our blanket and pillows in. Dodger followed behind me and Chris as we headed down to the beach. I laid out the blanket and set up the pillows.

I took off my cover showing my swimsuit. The top part was white while the bottom part was a light pink color. I put on my sunscreen and had Chris put some on my back. I helped him with his sunscreen as well before we headed down to the water. Of course I saw a few people with cameras. Me and Chris would end up seeing these pictures in a magazine probably.

I had went into the water about knee deep and Chris stood there with me. We decided to give the cameras something to flash about. I wrapped my arms around his neck and his arms wrapped around my waist. He kissed me softly and we smiled hearing the sound of cameras flashing rapidly. Our little plan had worked. He chuckled and continued to kiss me not caring about the cameras.

I ran my hand through his dark hair keeping my hand on the back of his head. Dodger had ran over to us and jumped through the waves. Me and Chris broke the kiss and looked over at a Dodger as he hopped through the waves. Chris chuckled and he picked up Dodger when he got close enough. I smiled and scratched Dodger behind the ears before me and Chris headed back to the blanket.

We laid down on the blanket and just snuggled a little. It was a very comfy blanket. I really liked it. Dodger curled up beside Chris and laid his head on Chris's stomach. I took a bottle of water from the cooler and took a sip of the nice cold water. It was really good. I laid my head on Chris's shoulder before slipping on my sunglasses. I ended up falling asleep and Chris probably did too. Dodger was already asleep.

When I woke up, I was curled up in a blanket and my head on the soft pillow. I looked around and I smiled seeing Chris playing fetch with Dodger. I sat up and smiled watching as Dodger jumped up catching the frisbee in his mouth. I yawned and laid down not really wanting to get up. I was pretty comfortable on that blanket at the moment.

I reached over and took a sip of my water. After I put my water down, I guess Dodger saw that I was awake because he rushed over and started licking my face. I chuckled and sat up scratching him behind the ears. Chris smiled and headed back over to our blanket sitting down beside me. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and kissed my cheek softly.

"Hey, Sleeping Beauty" Chris said.

"Hey" I said before stretching a little bit. I put my hand against his cheek gently and kissed his lips softly. I caressed his cheek with my thumb as we kissed. There was a small spark between us. I'm sure he felt it too. I put my hand on the back of his head running my fingers through his thick brown hair.

We pulled away from the kiss when Dodger decided to kiss us as well. I chuckled and looked at Dodger before scratching his head letting him lick my cheek. Dodger hopped off the blanket and grabbed the frisbee dropping it onto Chris's lap. Chris chuckled and got up before him and Dodger started playing again.

I laid down listening to the waves. It was very soothing. I couldn't help but smile as I listened to the waves lapping against the shore. I took a deep breath of fresh air before letting out the breath. I closed my eyes and smiled as I listened to the waves. It sounded so peaceful and calming.

After having a nice day at the beach, me and Chris headed back to the house. I had taken a nice bubble bath in the bathtub. It was very nice. I put some red flower petals into the water as I relaxed. It felt great. I could get use to this. Chris must be playing with Dodger outsider. I smiled and looked out the window watching as Chris threw a ball letting Dodger catch it.

I finished the ball and I wrapped a towel around me before heading to mine and Chris's room. I got dressed and headed outside to watch Chris play with Dodger. I sat down at the fire pit and smiled taking a sip from my bottle of water. Chris and Dodger were now playing tug of war. It was Dodger's favorite game.

I smiled and looked over at the view. It was so beautiful. I loved it so much. I heard the click of a camera and I looked over to see Chris taking a picture of me on his phone. He posted the photo on his Twitter with the caption.
