Do you smell that?

My name is Ava Leory, and I am a vampire. Wow it sounds like I’m in an A.A. meeting. I wasn't turned, but born. My mother was a turned vampire that got bit by my father blah blah blah. Being born a vampire means that you are high on the vampire status. Anyway, enough with all the facts and let’s get to the good stuff.

I have black hair and grey eyes. I am 5'8, my facial features are strong and smooth at the same time, perks of being a vampire. Anyway, enough with the bragging. No one at my school knows that The Four are vamps, they just believe we are extremely attractive.

Sitting in Pre-Cal, my 'friend' turns to me. '' Have you talked to Grail, did you tell him that I was interested?''. Wow, whatever happened to being modest? '' No Sarah, I did not talk to grail, here’s an idea, get your ass up and talk to him yourself!'' By now the entire class was looking my way. Did I mention I am sort of a bitch?

''Ava, enough with the outburst! You can either whisper to Sarah or not speak at all.'' Mrs. Hinnagen said. I really wanted to say something back, but I didn't want to lose control in front of the class. ''Yes, Mrs. Hinnagen.'' She turned back around and continued to teach, I didn’t pay attention, I probably already know the crap anyway. I decided to ask to go to the 'restroom' which really means I wanted to roam the hall. I got up and walked to the door. But of course all the guys’ eyes were trailing me as I walked out. The guys would so kill them.

I decided to go mess with the guys. I knew what room they were in so I headed that way. When I got to the door I look into the class. Of course all the girls were swooning over them. Sluts. They guys see me and smile. They asked to go to the restroom. The teacher, a dumbass obviously, didn't wonder why 3 guys were going to the restroom together, whatever.

They get out of the class and seem relieved.

Grey, the sweet one of the group, comes up to me and bear hugs me like he hasn't seen me in months.'' nice to see you too Grey,'' I say and we all laugh. Marco, is the 'nerd' of the group, but to others he is mysterious. And last but not least Grail, the 'alpha dog' he is like the father of the group, making sure we do what needs to be done, and keeping the secret.

We are all vampires in a human school, it’s a pretty tough job, so we automatically look to him as the leader.

'' Do you smell that?'' Marco says. We all smell the air and we all go into vampire mode. Grail stands in a protective stance, even though we are all vamps and just as strong as each other.

''witches.'' we all say in unison.
