Chap.8 wedding

As were about to put my dress on someone knocks on the door. Annie opens the door. I turn to see who is it. Haymitch is standing with the person I haven't seen since 3 years ago , my mother.

"How are you doing sweetheart? Oh...yeah your mom came to see you." Haymitch said.I

look at my mom and gave her a hug. "Hi mom" I said.

"Hi sweetie, how are you?"

"Good, how are you?" I said and starting to cry. Not because I'm sad it's because I'm happy to see her.

"Okay lets not ruin my masterpiece." Octavia said. I let go of my mom and Octavia wipe my tears off my face.

"Your lucky I put waterproof mascara on you missy!" Octavia said.

" I have something for you." my mom handed me a silk cloth that had something in it. While I open it my mom said "It was mine when your father and I got married...I wanted you to have it and...give it to your daughter when you have one."

As I look at the hairpin, it has orange and green diamonds making orange flowers and green vines. "I change the colors to yours and Peeta's favorite color" my mom said while still teary eye. I give the hairpin to Annie to put it on the back of my head in the middle of the top of the bun.

"Thank you mom" I said and give her a hug.

" Time for the dress! and you Haymitch can get out and get Peeta ready." Octavia said.

As Octavia unzipped the bag the wedding dress is what Effie said couple months ago. long tail, long shelves, tight fit, see through back with lace on the see through part.

Peeta's pov. (getting ready for the wedding)

Has I get ready I'm nervous as heck. Cant get a thing on me right. This isn't me. I'm usually calm and nervous free but...I don't know. It took me 5 times to get my shirt on and 3 times to get my vest on and so on.

As Haymitch came in, he helps me with my tie.

"Are you ready?" He asked me.

"As ready as I can be" I said." Did Katniss's mom came?"

"Yes she did and is helping her getting the dress on." Haymitch told me.

"Okay, did she look surprised?" I asked.

"Yes and there was some crying going on too." He said." Should we go and visit people before the ceremony starts?"

"I guess." I said while Haymitch is fixing my tie around my neck.

Haymitch checked outside the house just in case Katniss is on her way to the ceremony. He called all clear. Me and Haymitch  start to walk to the ceremony place which is in the woods.

We got there and everything is beautiful, flowers hanging up, wood benches, an arch that's made out of sticks and flowers.

"We should start in about 20 minutes." Haymitch said.

"Hi Pe!" I turn around and see who it is.

"Hi Flin." I said back and bending down to his size "Wow you've grown since i saw you last time."

"Yup" he said popping the p "I’m going to be like you and my...daddy"

You could tell he's sad. He knows about Finnick and where he is, but on the happy side, he looks like Finnick and has his personality.
