Patronus Lessons

Uncle Remus was going to show Harry how to do a patronus. He asked for my help, because I can make and am Harry's sister. Also if Harry has any trouble I have to step in and get the boggart back into the chest.

We were waiting for Harry as Uncle Remus got the boggart from his office. Harry came in and asked why I was here. "I am here to help Professor Lupin teach you how to make a patronus" I explained. I hated that I had to pretend that Uncle Remus wasn't my Godfather.

Uncle Remus appeared with the chest and told Harry how a patronus works. He then asked me to show him my corporeal patronus. So I did and a silvery doe appeared out of my wand. Harry was impressed and ask if all them look like that. I answered "no, a corporeal patronus is unique to every wizard. Mine is a doe and Professor Lupin is a wolf. Yours will probably be a stag like our fathers was."

Lupin nodded in agreement and told Harry how the lesson will go. Harry would have a go at the boggart patronus. That I would step in if he had trouble. He thought of a happy memory and nodded to Lupin. Who opened the lid and the boggart Dementor appeared.

Harry tried, but he fainted so I sent my doe at the fake boggart. Uncle Remus shut the lid and I said "he'll never do it Uncle Remus. If he doesn't concentrate and stop thinking of our mother." Uncle Remus nodded and gave Harry some chocolate when he came to. He asked him what memory he choose to use.

"The first time I flew on a broom" Harry answered. I told him it wasn't strong enough and Lupin agreed. He said there was another one, but he didn't know if it was real or not. But that it was the happiest he ever felt in his life.

Lupin told him to try it and it worked in repelling the fake Dementor. Harry told us this "it was us all together. You Faline, Mum and Dad we were in a room and I was playing with you. Professor Lupin and another man with shoulder length black hair was there too."

"That is a memory, that was the day Faline came home from hospital. We were all celebrating before I took her to my house. It was the last time I saw your parents" Uncle Remus said.

"Wait you took my sister? I thought you said your Godfather took you" Harry told me.

I nodded saying "that is true and Professor Lupin is my Godfather. I wasn't allowed to tell you until you asked". Harry nodded and was happy to finally met my guardian properly. We talked about our parents some more over chocolate.

Before Uncle Remus said it was time for us to go to bed. On the way back Harry said "you have a great Godfather, unlike me. You are lucky to be able to live with Professor Lupin. I am happy for you and I won't tell anyone" he gave me a hug.

We entered the common room and saw Hermione studying with Ron by the fire. I said goodnight and went to bed to sleep. Ginny was already asleep when I entered with a sleeping Gwen next to her. I smiled before changing into my pj's and brushed my teeth heading to bed.
