Her hands are shaking as she tries to open the car door that she drops her keys.
"Miss?"
Her heart stops. He followed her. She draws in a breath to steady herself.
"I know you, don't I?"
She turns around to face him. And her heart breaks all over again. "I'm sorry, you must have mistaken me for someone else."
He doesn't say anything. The silence stretches. Without a word, he lifts a hand to brush the hair off her face.
A gesture so familiar she chokes back a sob.
"Maine," he whispers.
