elanora
"dude, she's gone crazy," joey whispered into liam's ear.liam nodded and watched elanora shuffle around her house with table covers and napkins. "did she tell you what went down with her and harry?" liam whispered back to joey.
"all she told me was that she was done with all his lies and bullshit, and that he was an asshole and doesn't deserve her, which is totally true. but after an intense moment like that, who in their right mind would throw a party right after?" joey exclaimed.
"oh shit! the snacks! i forgot the most important thing. god dammit!" elanora said from the kitchen.
joey and liam shared a look before turning back to the telly, pretending to watch the game that was on.
elanora signed in frustration. she got it in her head that she needed a celebration for putting up with harry and his shit for all these years. she knew that joey and liam thought she was crazy. they were probably right.
who in their right mind throws a party right after a heartbreaking, emotional moment? elanora fucking caverly, that's who.
she saw the boys in the living room watching some stupid game and suddenly felt a surge of anger. they were doing nothing at all while she did all the work.
she strode in front of the television and turned it off. "you boys are just gonna sit there and let me do all the work? no way. get up and go get some party snack, now!" elanora hissed as she pointed her finger between the two boys.
joey and liam nodded quickly and ran out the door. elanora could be scary when she was angry.
she watched them leave and got back to work on her party. she really needed this; to be surrounded by people and get shit-faced drunk without feeling pathetic.
liam
"should we get doritos or ruffles?" joey asked liam. "doritos," liam replied. they were in the grocery story searching for snacks for the party."so, what's your take on elanora snapping at us?" joey asked smoothly as he put the doritos in the shopping cart.
"she's trying to suppress her emotions. she doesn't want us to see that it is affecting her, i guess. so she burst out in little fits of anger and finds an argument in every little thing. she will have a breakdown soon though. we just have to be there when it happens," liam replies casually, picking up a big bottle of soda.
"were you a therapist in your previous life," joey snorted. liam rolled his eyes and continued walking down the isle.
harry
after announcing that he wanted a divorce, harry left the house. he needed to get away from erin.he really couldn't believe that she brought his father into this situation. she knew it was a sensitive topic for him.
harry's father walked out on him and his mother when he was little. he left them for a younger woman and now had a new family. he watched his mother cry every night for the first five months until she realized that he wasn't coming back.
his grip tightened on the steering wheel as the memories flooded his mind. he turned off the ignition and looked at the big house in front of him.
he really needed to talk to his mother.
elanora
"welcome! come in!" elanora greeted people at the door with a smile on her face and a strong drink in her hand.liam was inside putting the food and drinks on the dining table while joey was playing the music.
everyone was having a good time dancing and talking, but no one could beat elanora. she was on her sixth drink, dancing terribly on the dance floor.
"should we maybe-" joey began. "yeah, it isn't looking good," liam replied, reading joey's mind. they both grabbed elanora and lead her to her room, shutting the door behind them.
"guys! what the fuck!" elanora slurred. "you've had too much to drink el," liam said sternly. she crossed her arms, clearly mad. "no i didn't! i drunk not!" she said. joey cracked up in the corner as liam handed her a bottle of water.
elanora chugged the water down as liam and joey sat on both sides of the bed, sandwiching her. they were all just silently staring at the door, each waiting for the other to say something.
"you were right liam," elanora whispered. liam's heart tightened in his chest, he had waited so long for her to say that but it didn't feel right. elanora was always so optimistic and looked past people's flaws. liam wouldn't admit this but he admired how much effort elanora put into making her and harry's relationship work.
"el," liam sighed and wrapped his arms around her. joey got up and left, saying that this was a liam-elanora moment.
"i should have known. there was a bunch of signs, liam. i can't believe i was so stupid. let's face it, he was never gonna leave her for me. i'm not good enough," elanora's voice cracked.
"elanora, shut up. you are incredible. any guy would be lucky to have a girl like you! don't sell yourself short because of one stupid guy," liam ran his fingers through her hair.
"liam, it hurts so much. it's like i can't breathe. i'm looking at everyone and they're all so happy and i feel like i want to die," elanora's eyes watered.
"it'll pass el. it's gonna be okay," liam frowned. out of all the times what elanora came to liam crying about harry, this was the worst. it was the worst because she wasn't crying hysterically, she was accepting it was over.
elanora closed her eyes and took a deep breath. she was beginning a new chapter; one without harry styles in it.
it was definitely gonna be a challenge, but she needed to be with someone who made her a priority.
fuck, this is gonna be hard, she thought.
