Chapter 7

JAS! JAS! what I groaned as Austin shock me. Awake. I'm about to go. "Alright". "Lock the door behind you". Okay he leaned over and kissed my forehead. I covered my face with a pillow and continued my slumber.

Few hours later

My phone began to ring as I stepped out of the shower.

"Hello." I said while wrapping the towel around my body.

M- Hey baby.

J- "Hey mama what's up. "

M- Can you make the potato salad please.

J- I rubbed my forehead before giving her an answer. "Umm sure ma I got it."

M- Okay good love you see you this weekend.

J- love you to. I hung up and got dress so I could go to the store.

I got dress wearing a black and white stripped shirt grey cardigan, boyfriend jeans with black sandals. I put my hair in a top knot. With my baby hairs on fleek. I added my nude lip and mascara. I grabbed my black COAH tote and keys and walked out of the dorm. Locking the door behind me.

I pulled up to Walmart. Parked and got out.
I pushed the buggy through each aisle. Grabbing the ingredients I need along with some snacks.

I reached for the bag of buffalo wing ranch Doritos and a hand reached for the same bag as me. You always did like these.  I turned to see a face I haven't seen in almost 5 years. "James" I said aloud and shocked. Yeah it's me in the flesh he said with a smirk. "Wow you have really grown up James". Yeah we both have he said while smiling. So what you doing around here. Well I'm switching colleges to continue getting my doctorate. "Wow that's amazing" yeah so what you doing in Walmart. "Oh my mom is having a BBQ". I mentally cursed myself out for telling him about the BBQ. " And I'm making the potato salad.

He laughed a little. Then an awkward silence fell upon us. "Well if your not busy maybe you can stop by". Umm yeah I'll see if I'm busy. "Okay". Jas would you like to go to lunch with me. " umm you know I'm really busy right now and I have to get cooking". "But let me get your number". I don't know why I didn't tell him about Austin. I handed him my phone and he put his number in. I called him so he could have mine. Well I'll see you around Jas. "Okay I said to him.

I walked in the dorm holding the grocery bags in my hand and kicking the door closed with my foot. I sat the bags down and went to lock it.

I changed into my leggings and a tank top with my fuzzy socks. I rinsed the potatoes and sat them in a pot with the eggs to boil.

....Knock knock.....

I walked to the door opening it to Libby standing with her arms wide opened. I fell into her arms and we hugged each other.

What's been going on boogie? She said while walking into my dorm. As I closed the door behind her. Come sit down Libby I have to talk to you.

Okay Jas what is it? "Okay so Austin is moving to New York". Okay she said waving her hand so I can continue to talk. "And he asked me to move with him". Wait your going to move to New York Jas. "Yeah". JAS I need you more than ever. "I know".

I know I said I wanted to tell everyone on my own but I don't know what I will do with out you. I watched Libby began to cry and I wiped her tears and mine. "Libby I will visit you and the baby you will always be my family". JAS! You going to another state. I can't just call you and be like oh come chill with me.
