Chapter 1

It is the year 2020. The human race on an extinction. Half of the world got hit by a major virus, killing a lot of people. Scientist thought that it would be easy to cure the virus as they had a drug called Z-protein. But they were wrong. The virus was transported as a vaccine to cure AIDS disease. They said it cured AIDS but had small side effects. But the side effect was not small. It became a big issue. Most people had these side effects. Any type of drug cannot remove it. This virus was smarter than the other viruses. It did not responded to the lab conditions. It kept on changing its DNA.

People slowly started to became violent and would attack anyone who came in their way, even their loved one. People became rabid and started to grow nails and sharp teeth. The maniacs started to be roaming everywhere. The government raised a emergency call. I call these things as the Infected as zombies is a childish word in real life.

Well we are walking down the street; Katie and I. it is afternoon and everything is silent. It is 15 days we are travelling non stop, hiding, killing if necessary and searching for supplies. Well.........we are just walking down a street searching for food and water. Cars were on the road, abandoned and some of them were flipped up. Human and infected lay dead and motionless. I walked towards a dead infected corpse. I stood there for a while. Katie looked at me and asked me, "What happened?!? Why the hell you stopped Nathan and what the heck made you stop." I pull out my baseball bat and smashed it on its head to check it was dead or not. Blood splattered on the ground and on me. I was lucky blood didnt wrnt into my mouth because I was wearing a hooded shirt from which I could cover my head and tied a napkin around the lower part of the face which covered my mouth and my nose. Whereas Katie wore just the napkin. I crouched down and searched its pocket. I flipped its coat and put my hand into it. I felt something cold and hard. It felt like some type of..........................weapon. I gripped it and pulled it out. "Hey I got a gun," I said happyly as Katie didn't have any weapon for like..........days. I turned back to hand her a weapon but she wasn't there. Where the fuck is she?

I thought. "Hey Katie!!!!!!!!!! Where the fuck are you?????" I yelled till the top of my lungs. I felt some one walk behind me. I just turned back to see who it was.

It was a group of the Infected.

"Fuck," I mummer under my breath.

I grip my AR-15 rifle and walked fast as possible without making any noise. But I tripped down and hit the ground with a dull thud which was fuck loud.

Well now my ass is fuck pissed off.

The Infected started to walk towards me. I got up looked around to my surroundings. Well in front of me were some Infected and on my back there were about a dozen. Well it was good that I had enough ammo to kill them, but shooting them would make more infected get attracted. And with the baseball bat it would take time too kill. So I had only one motherfucking option.........

Run.

Well they were behind me and I was trying to shoot them. It was my bad luck that I had taken the wrong path. I came in front a car maze. There were beat down cars in front of me.

What the fuck I will do.

Well only one option is there.......................slide and skid. It will be easy because I am in the army........................................or I was in the army.

I slide over one car and jumped on to the other.

Then all of a sudden a Infected came out of nowhere and tried to bite me. "Oh this it the way I will die," I said. I kicked him on his stomach and got up. I took my rifle and turned around to jump towards the other side.

But I couldn't it was impossible.

The Infected surrounded the car which I am standing and started to bang it with their hands. I broke the glass of the car and hopped in and sat down. I looked to my left, a grenade and then looked in the front

A Grenade.

"Yeah, you gotta be kidding me!!!" I said to my self as I held the grenade.

I climbed to the roof top again and looked at them. They were looking sick and had diluted pupils. Blood was in their teeth. "Well you fuckers, you drank lots of blood...................................now taste this piece of shit." I pulled my bat and smashed some Infected heads and then paused. I turned back opened the car engine plate then when I was about to pulled the pin of the grenade I heard a gunshot. I looked up and saw Katie holding a shot gun. Her hands were shivering.

"Katie!!!!!!!" I yelled, "Get the fuck out of here." She looked at me and then ran away as some of the Infected ran towards her.

I look around; some Infected were trying to catch hold of me.

I pulled the pin of the grenade and tossed it in the engine and jumped to the next car. I continued to jump and the land down injuring my elbow.

Bang.

Bang.

Two loud noises were enough to make me deaf. I got up and saw that there was oil on the ground.

Well again I have to do is...................

Run.

Run to find Katie and get this shit out of here.
