A brand new day but not a new life.
I wondered if my life would change for the better like the people around me, my mother, my friends and my dog. It’s very funny that I’m a disaster and still the same while my dog is living in heaven, literally. He died because he choked something, a gummy bear.
Friday was my least like, everyone would say “Thanks God it’s Friday,” I really don’t think you should thank God when it’s Friday you should thanks for everyday. I hate people.
“Honey, the bus is coming.” Mom said while preparing her things. “Honey, eat faster.”
“Mom there’s no school.” I replied as I chewed the bacon, burned bacon. “And mom it’s your bus that is coming.” I laughed as hard as she crammed, pulling things from the cabinet and sighed which heels to choose. She’s very meticulous with things even though she’s very late, and I’m very opposite to her.
“Honey which color?” She showed up the heels with color blue and pink
“The colored one.” I mocked and she gave me her very famous angry look. “Okay the blue one.” I really don’t know with girls, they’re very anxious with things that don’t matter.
“Okay, bye and don’t forget not to have party.” She reprimanded and kissed my cheeks.
“Love you Mom.” She waved back before closing the door.
I hurriedly opened the book that was resting for many days. “What!” I exclaimed as I flipped the pages. “Last three chapters going to finish this one.” I planned and landed on the couch.
My whole morning wasn’t like this one before I meet Waters. I was used to do partying and Mom allowed it so I was free until she received my report card. “Party hard, study harder.” I remembered her saying it so I was relieved to know she was not mad at me.
“You’re a cool Mom.” I smiled back at her. Good old days but now I was stuck up in our house, I decided to do it, for a change.
“Chapter 23 the second last page.” Before I started, I decided to finish this later since I’m not doing anything later. I snatched a dollar from Mom’s jar and went to 7/11.
The bell rang when I went inside, only wearing my pale pajama. “Good day.” said the crew who was in the cashier. I smile when he showed a smile. Looking at the foods, I wish I had stolen more, they look all delicious. On the corner, I saw a girl with white hair sipping a hot chocolate she ordered and bread on her side, looking from here you can tell she’s pretty. I went near to her, I took a little peak of her face, and she has pale face, not so thick brows and all of her was just average.
“Hello.” She smiled showing her little face.
“Hello.” I said back and she was just staring at me.
“So what do you need?” She asked as she took a sip her drink.
“Food.” I thought I said the right thing but she just laughed, so cute.
“You’re so cute.” She managed and continued, “I know you need food but which one?” She smiled so big that her eyes narrowed.
“I don’t know, can you recommend something?” I asked and sat beside her.
“Yeah but I don’t know if you’ll like it.” She stood up and went to the junk foods. “This one is my favorite.” She held up a food that reads: Patata.
“What a weird name.” I demanded. “I mean the name not the taste.” I corrected myself, whew!
“Yeah this is very good, but will you pay for it?”
“Yeah sure.” I replied and grabbed two Patatas and went to the cashier.
The cashier was so shocked seeing me smile, “What a good day.” I replied a smile and glanced back to the corner if she was still there.
“Here’s you change.” Informed the cashier and I hurriedly went back to the girl. “One for you.” I said and gave her the food but she hesitantly receives it. “I can’t it’s yours.”
“No it’s okay with me.” Darn it! Her smile is melting me
“How kind of you.” She opened gently the food and look outside.
Her eyes we’re full of hope but the acts she showed were not. I wish she’s okay. I was staring at her face when she caught me. “What are you looking at, is there dirt on my face?” She asked and started wiping her face.
“No, it’s just that-“before I could finish she said something that really intrigue me.
“Hey dude I need to,” Interrupted by someone and poked me in the back, “I need to tell you something.”
When I turned my head I saw Waters with her electric blue hair.
“Yeah, what?” I replied and she pointed outside. I stood up from my chair while she was covering her face from Waters, “I’ll be right back.” I informed and went outside. She nodded.
When I opened the door Waters brought a cart full of books. I was amazed and rummage the cart. “It’s very awesome and where did you get it.” She turned the cart and there’s a sign that says: We Need Books. It was written in bold letters.
“What do you think?” She bends down and got a book. “I really hope we can get more books.” Her tone was a bit sad.
“No,” I opposed and I hung my arm on her shoulders. “You did a good job and this is just our first step.”
I really don‘t know what to say next so she said her good bye and left. It’s a painful thing if you don’t know how to make a conversation nice and interesting. “Bye.” I waved back. As I turned my heels I saw that the girl was leaving the shop, putting on her hoods. “Hey.” I called to her but she walked so fast as if a dog was following her.
“Hey” I shouted louder and followed her. “Hey” I called again. When I turned I wasn’t able to see her anymore. I sighed with grief. “I was so close.” I said.
The sun is out and I’m feeling a bit sad but mostly happy. I was trying to figure out where she had gone and her name. Yeah her name, what was I thinking? I was very sad that I didn’t get her number, even her name so I kicked the trash can so hard that I hurt my foot. “Best day and worst day ever.”
