Some people we meet on the road I actually hate. But I'd never say that or act like it to their faces.
One thing I find really upsetting is when I tell people I love them and they just say Okay or Cool in response. Like, I don't just throw my love around, you should appreciate me more.
I don't like that I can't stop talking about myself in the third person in my story titles, like I did in this one.
I don't like the message someone wrote for me on the electronic board at a skate party I went to when I was seven where I was the only kid who couldn't skate. "Keep it up Dinah, you're doing so well!" which was a HUGE lie and everyone knew it. I wouldn't let go of the rail circling the rink and even then I kept falling over. They had this huge board above the rink and it had a purple flashing background. All the kids parents except mine (they weren't there, they asked the other parents to look after me) were in the DJ's room with him. He could type messages for the kids on the rink, it was a private party so it was just us, and they'd appear on the board. Obviously the parents were telling him what to type. I was so embarrassed when I saw my name, I hated the DJ and whatever set of parents told him to type that.
