A few quiet days and loud nights passed and everyone in the car seemed at peace almost, no fights had happened, no one had been thrown into the trunk, Jean found this unsettling. He had grown used to the fights, arguments, and love triangle which had formed, but now it was just two parallel lines of relationships. He thought something was wrong, no, he felt it.
In an attempt to arise some sort of conversation at least he pulled into a little truck stop diner. "We're gonna treat ourselves and have some real uh... What state are we in?"
"Oklahoma." Griffith said in an instant, not even looking away from his book 'Love is a Dead Concept'. Why he got that no one fucking knows.
"Yes! Oklahoman food and culture!" He smiled, getting out of the car as everyone followed behind, not complaining, but, not entirely happy about leaving the air conditioned car. Mira glanced over at Lucas and Natalia with a deadly glare, seeing their gentle embrace and held hands. Gritting her teeth she gripped onto Boris's hand tightly, causing him to even wince in pain, looking over at her somewhat shocked.
"You okay...?" He asked, placing his free hand on her shoulder cautiously, her head snapped to look at him with an obviously forced smile as he smiled back somewhat nervously and nodded. Walking her to the restaurant, begging for her grip on him to loosen just a bit.
When they entered, Natalia broke off from Lucas (surprisingly) and went over to Mira with a faint smile on her seductive face. "Hey, can I talk to you in the ladies room?" She asked, looking over to Boris, whom fled to the table they would be sitting at, forcing Mira to make a split second decision, choosing whether she wished to have her first real conversation with the woman after internally calling her a whore for the past few days they had known each other.
"Uh, sure." She said with a confused tone as the older woman took her by the hand and dragged her into the empty ladies washroom. Leaving her to stand there in silence as Natalia stared into the foggy mirror, fixing her hair (only to make it look messier) and trying to freshen up. "So why do you wanna talk to me now?"
"Because! I don't want you to hate me just because I'm fucking your friend, and don't worry, I'm not going to be little Mrs. Bayliss, we're keeping everything casual." Turning around she jumped up to sit on the counter of the sink, looking at Mira.
"Yeah, okay, I guessed that, he's a fuckin in-asshole anyways, I mean, he couldn't handle a relationship." She groaned, crossing her arms and leaning on the tile wall as the other woman giggled.
"You make him seem like such a bad guy. What did he ever do to you that started making you think he's such a lady killer who only wants sex and nothing but." The girls locked eyes as Mira took a deep breath, preparing herself to explode.
"When we first met he talked about sex, called my mom a milf pretty much, ruined high school for me, made me drop out for this bullshit called my destiny, ruined my chances with a guy I liked for three years, crushed my heart and soul when I confessed I liked him, which he responded 'I can't feel love.' then when I got into a happy relationship told me he liked me! And forced me to cheat on Boris a bunch of times." Natalia nodded, jumping off the counter and patting her shoulder.
"Sometimes love is complicated and fucked up." That was all she said before leaving the washroom, Mira just stood there in a confused rage.
"Love?! I don't love him!" She yelled after her before realizing the girl wasn't gonna come back and she had to follow her to the table the men had chosen. taking a seat between Griffith and her father she looked down at the menu with a sigh. "Wow, all the same hamburgers from the last restaurant we ate at, how fancy."
"Indeed it is! I mean, they do have different stuff sweetheart, like instead of pure beef burgers they have pork and beef burgers, probably to save money but still, isn't that interesting?" Jean smiled at her as she rolled her eyes, unable to keep her shitty mood around such a sickeningly positive man. Griffith had thankfully put his book away and began looking at the kids menu which made Lucas snicker.
"Wow, I guess if you look like a twelve year old you have to eat like one too." He smirked as Griffith looked up at the demon unamused. He had quickly grown bored of all the young jokes and with the added factor he hadn't slept since Natalia had joined them. He wasn't happy at all. "Oh common man, can't take a joke anymore can you? Might have to grow your sense of humour... OH WAIT YOU CANT GROW!"
"Oh, I do hope I never have to deal with another being like you again in my life." Griffith sighed as Mira looked to him with a bright smile, patting his shoulder.
"It's alright Griff, when I've got my new home and start my job, you can baby sit whatever children I have." She smiled, causing both Boris and Lucas to grin in sync, Jean's brow raised at this before looking to his daughter.
"Question is, who are you going to give me grandchildren with?" Jean asked, looking over to the two men who's faces had now grown blank seeing the fact that, although the oldest looking man was kind, as many others did, he did not enjoy the company of Boris, let alone know his intimate company with his only close blood and flesh. "Common Mira, tell me."
She gave a long pause, ending in an awkward laugh as she rubbed the back of her neck. "Well... Jean... That is a far away thing. I mean, I'll have kids with uh, whoever I wish at the moment." That caused a small internal uproar amongst the group, causing hopes to rise and some hopes to be crushed from the thought.
Thankfully the waitress came and took everyone's orders. Leaving them in a forced conversations, started by Jean once again in an attempt to lighten the mood.

"You don't want to have kids with me??" Boris asked with wide eyes just as their motel room's door shut. Mira just let out a groan, sitting down on their bed with her arms crossed, shrugging. "And what does that mean?"
"It means, I love you it's just, would you stay with me? To raise children? Instead of popping in every few years to knock me up then disappear again?" She looked at him with a furrowed brow as he gasped, placing a hand on his chest, shaking his head and pretending as if he wouldn't do just that. She sighed and rolled her eyes. "Go sleep in another room, I want to be alone tonight." She groaned, glaring at him as he let out a breath and stormed out, slamming the door behind him.
