I opened my eyes, and felt miserable. I slowly picked myself up off the bed, and felt a heat on my back. I turned my head, and found Anatsu had been clinging to me in my sleep. He lifted his head, and his hair was ruffled up. He fixed his ponytail, and turned to me, smiling.

"Morning!" He said.

I narrowed my eyes, and scoffed. I got up, and went towards the door. I stopped myself, and went to the window instead.

"What are you doing....?" Asked Anatsu.

"I'll be back soon, just getting a breath of fresh air," I said, opening the window, and jumping out.

I shut the window behind me, keeping Anatsu trapped inside. I walked to the entrance of the shrine, and began to walk the perimeter. I heard a slight rustle in the bushes, halfway back to the gates. I stopped, and stood absolutely still.

"Who's there?" I asked flatly, turning around.

"Well well, a little lost kitten," I saw a man with long hair, and red eyes.

Great, another incubus, I thought. He suddenly waved a hand in the air, and I smelled a weird scent. I gagged, and the man looked at me confused.

"What? It didn't work? Love incense always work......" He said.

"Love incense? Disgusting, how do you stand that smell?" I asked.

He aimed his hand at me, and suddenly I stiffened up a bit. I moved around, and looked at the man calmly.

"What? What are you? You can't be human," he said.

"Oh, I'm human. The name's Katsune Ise," I said, crossing my arms.

"Katori, the incubus," he said.

He looked at me, and smirked. He took a step towards me, and I took a step back. I tripped, and he caught me. He face, inches from mine, I had a neutral expression on my face.

"So, what brings you here?" I asked, slipping out of his grasp.

"Well, I'm looking to up my power some more. Care to.....help me?" He asked.

"No, but I would like to show you a talisman," I said, threatening him.

"Huh, you're not like other girls, are you?" He asked, narrowing his eyes at me.

"Ha, yeah, some would say that," I said, him appearing behind me.

"You're not a priestess, or a demon. You really are a human, I guess," Katori said, wrapping his arms around me, making me immobile.

"Let me go, or I'll call for help," I said calmly.

He put a hand over my mouth slowly, and I quickly placed a talisman on his head. Two flowers popped up from his hair, and I knew I was in trouble. Katori smirked, and I quickly kicked my leg up, aiming at his head. He dodged it, and I flipped over, out of his grasp.

"Well, I take that back. I might not need help," I said.

He rushed me, and I slipped to the side. I turned, and elbowed him in his back. He fell to the ground, face first, and I smirked. He suddenly got up and yanked me down by my arm. My heart hit my ribs, and I held back on my adrenaline attack. He pinned me beneath him, his knee separating my legs. I looked up at him calmly.

"I suggest you rethink your methods, Miss Ise," he said, leaning close to me.

I quickly jerked my knee upwards, and he doubled over. I slid out from underneath him, and I quickly placed a barrier talisman inside of my shirt. Man I really need to change my clothes......I thought. Katori got up, and lunged at me, but he was held back by an invisible, protective barrier. I smirked, and continued to walk the perimeter of the shrine. Once I was near the back perimeter of the shrine, where no one was, I fell to my knees, and breathed raggedly, my heart thumping against my chest. My arms shook slightly, and I tried to calm myself.
